On January 4th, 2026, at approximately 2316hrs, I, Dep. Schlageter and Dep. Kelley, were dispatched to Hwy 247 and Old Hawkinsville Rd in reference to a call about a bag with bodies in it on the side of the road.

Upon arrival, Cpl. West had placed Marie Slocum (W/F DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY]/71), the complainant, under arrest for an open warrant out of Houston County for Failure to Appear. Cpl. West advised me to charge Marie with Obstruction (M). See his supplemental for details.

I began speaking to Marie who stated that there was a bag with a baby in it on the side of the road. A search of the area concluded there was a deer carcass causing the area to smell like decay.

[REDACTED] (W/M DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY]/62) was with Marie. He stated that there was no bag with a baby in it. [REDACTED] took possession of Marie’s backpack and other belongings at her request.

Marie was transported to the Houston County Detention Center.

Warrants to be taken for Misuse of 911 (M) and Obstruction (M).
