On Sunday, September 07, 2025, at approximately 0139 hours, I, Deputy Ian Casey, Badge #7320, was dispatched to 2131 N Highway 41 (My Bar & Grill) in reference to terroristic threats/acts.
Upon arrival, I met with victim, [VICTIM #1], Manager of My Bar & Grill, along with victim, [VICTIM #2], a patron/customer of My Bar & Grill. [VICTIM #1], while working/managing the establishment, learned from other patrons that offender, Nathan Myers, who was inside of My Bar & Grill, was in possession of a firearm.
[VICTIM #1] said it was clearly posted upon the establishment of a zero firearm toleration within the bar. [VICTIM #1] said Nathan was already undergoing a bar ‘cut off’ from his excessive alcohol consumption and was becoming more belligerent. [VICTIM #1] said she made contact with Nathan and advised Nathan he was to depart the bar. [VICTIM #1] said [VICTIM #2], along with other unknown customer/patron assistance, began to escort Nathan from the bar area of My Bar & Grill, to the front door/exit.
Both [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] said while escorting a belligerently intoxicated Nathan to the front door, Nathan, without warning or provocation, reached for, and grabbed hold of a SCCY CPX-2 (SN: [REDACTED]) 9mm handgun, which was concealed in Nathan’s rear back pocket of his shorts.
[VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] immediately realized what was happening and took hold of Nathan’s arms. [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] collectively said Nathan began shouting phrases which reflected, “…I’ll kill you…”. [VICTIM #2] said he was able to disarm Nathan, without further incident, and turn over Nathan’s firearm to another present security guard. [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] said once Nathan was disarmed, he continued to threaten harm to [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2]’s lives.
[VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] said the trio exited the establishment, entering into the parking lot area, all the while continuing a grasp onto Nathan. [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] said the continuing struggle with Nathan ended with Nathan being taken to the ground in order to subdue and restrain his unpredictable behaviors and threats of harm until law enforcement arrived.
I asked [VICTIM #1] if she would willingly author a Houston County Sheriff’s Office Witness Statement Form.
[VICTIM #1]’s voluntary witness statement reads exactly as follows; “Nathan M. was very enebreated (drunk) customer got very handsy w/ alot of the women customers. So about 20 mins later he got rude w/ a customer and a customer helped me walk him out when he pulled a gun & we both (I & customer) tried to lock him out. We got the gun away from him and gave it to [VICTIM #2] & he placed it in his truck. He then spit & screamed at us & threatened to kill us and whoever f*cked with him. I immediately locked him out and took him to the ground. I held him along with a customer as he threatened me and others and we held him until HCSO showed up and released.” (Signed; [VICTIM #1]).
I asked [VICTIM #2] (“Customer” in [VICTIM #1]’s statement) if he would willingly author a Houston County Sheriff’s Office Witness Statement Form. [VICTIM #2]’s voluntary witness statement reads exactly as follows; “Nate went to grab a gun and [VICTIM #1] and I took him to the grown and held him there until the police arrived.” (Signed; [VICTIM #2]).
Prior to conducting on-scene interviews, Nathan was detained without further incident. Handcuffs were applied to Nathan’s wrists and checked for tightness. A pat search of Nathan resulted in no further weapons found. It was noted a small bottle of FireBall Cinnamon Whiskey was found in Nathan rear left pocket.
Nathan’s firearm, which was now secured in a vehicle, was retrieved, photographed and collected for evidential reasons. It was noted [VICTIM #1] statement of when Nathan introduced his firearm into the incident, Nathan’s firearm was not in a holster, and was simply in Nathan’s rear pocket, contrary to the firearm securement when retrieved by law enforcement officers.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was summoned to asses Nathan. Nathan subsequently refused EMS treatment on-scene. Upon completion of on-scene investigations and witness interviews, Nathan was transported to Houston County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center for processing of the following violations of the Official Code of Georgia (O.C.G.A.) – 16-11-37 – Terroristic Threats/Acts (Felony) (2-Counts), 16-11-106 – Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime (Felony), 16-11-39 – Disorderly Conduct and 16-11-41 – Public Intoxication.
Criminal arrested warrants for Nathan were applied for, and signed for, the afternoon of 09/07/2025, utilizing Houston County Magistrate Court.
The firearm was turned over to Sergeant K. Ferguson of Houston County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, while on-scene. Sgt. Ferguson submitted Nathan’s firearm into Houston County Sheriff’s Office Evidence.
Pictures of the scene, firearm and witness statements were taken and will be attached to this report. [VICTIM #1] advised, if need be, she could be contacted for a copy of the surveillance footage.
[VICTIM #1] was issued a case number for business establishment records.
