On May 25, 2025, at approximately 0639 hours, I, Deputy Carroll was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Woodland Trail Apt [REDACTED] in reference to two unresponsive females. Dispatch advised a male juvenile went to a neighbor’s residence and stated his mother and grandmother were deceased on scene.
Once on scene, I, Deputy Carroll, Deputy Watkins, Deputy Davis, and Deputy Archie cleared apartment [REDACTED]. While clearing the apartment, I noticed an unknown black female wearing multicolored pants and a white shirt lying across a sofa. The sofa was located directly in front of the living room window. I observed two bullet holes through the front living room window. Also, there were two bullet casings in front of the living room couch where [VICTIM #1] was lying. There was what appeared to be a pool of blood on the living room floor underneath [VICTIM #1]. While walking through the kitchen, I observed one shell casing in the middle of the floor in front of the counter.
Once entering the bedroom, I observed a broken black cellphone on the bed. After entering the bathroom, I observed an unknown black female on the bathroom toilet leaning against the wall. The female was wearing a blue shirt and black shorts below her knees. Deputy Davis was unable to locate a pulse on the black female’s neck. The female was later identified as [VICTIM #2]. While observing the bathroom, I noticed two bullet casings on the bathroom sink beside each other. I noticed one bullet casing near the bathroom door. I noticed a gunshot wound to the right side of [VICTIM #2] head. Also, I noticed what appeared to be blood dripping out of [VICTIM #2] right ear.
I made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] outside the apartment near the front door, [VICTIM #2] son. I took [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to Deputy Watkins’ patrol vehicle. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was placed in the driver’s rear seat of Deputy Watkins patrol vehicle. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who was in the apartment with him, and he stated his mother and grandma. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who else was in the apartment, and he stated Rashad. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who Rashad was, and he stated he was “Mama’s boyfriend”. I then asked if he had seen his mama’s car in the parking lot, and he stated no, Rashad took his mama’s car.
EMS arrived on scene and determined [VICTIM #2] and [VICTIM #1] were deceased.

[WITNESS #1] stated he did not hear anything else after that one loud bang. [WITNESS #1] stated he heard a knock on his door this morning, and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told him his mama and grandma were dead.
