On December 16, 2021 at 17:10 hours I was dispatched to [30 BLOCK] Webb Street Warner Robins, GA 31093 in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the cul de sac. Upon arrival the vehicle, a red Volkswagon Jetta [REDACTED BY AGENCY], turned its lights on upon seeing my patrol vehicle and attempted to leave the area. I observed the vehicle to have a headlight that was not functioning properly on the driver’s side.

I activated my emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle as it exited the cul de sac. As I exited the vehicle I observed the driver and passenger windows partially down with a significant amount of smoke rising out from the interior of the vehicle. I also noted the strong odor of burnt marijuana on my driver’s side approach.

I contacted the driver, later identified at Mr. Walter Peeler. I removed Mr. Peeler from the vehicle and detained him in handcuffs. I checked for a proper fit of the cuffs and double locked the cuffs to prevent them from tightening. Deputy Robinson removed the passenger, who was later identified as Mr. Reeve Morris, and secured him in the rear of the patrol car in handcuffs as well.

After being read Miranda Mr. Peeler stated he understood his rights and he did wish to speak with us. Mr. Peeler stated there was marijuana in the glove box, but it did not belong to him. Mr. Peeler also stated the marijuana in the vehicle belonged to Mr. Morris. Mr. Morris was read Miranda by Deputy Robinson who later informed me he claimed the marijuana in his seat and THC oil. Mr. Morris also stated to Deputy Robinson the bag in the glove box was bagged for Mr. Peeler.

A probable cause search of the vehicle returned a clear plastic baggie in the glove box with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. There was also a clear plastic bag in the passenger seat of the vehicle with a green leafy substance believed to marijuana in it as well. The baggie in the passenger seat was open and the suspected marijuana was scattered on the seat. There was also a bookbag on the floor board of the passenger seat with a box of sandwich bags in it. Lastly there was a small zipper pouch, also in the bookbag, that reveled a small black container. [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

Photographs of the suspected illegal substance were taken on scene. A tow sheet was completed and the vehicle was turned over to Warner Robins Towing. The two subjects, Mr. Peeler and Morris, were transported to the jail without incident. Mr. Peeler was charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce due to the suspected marijuana in the glove box. Mr. Peeler was also cited for the headlight violation. Mr. Morris was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute due to the amount of suspected marijuana and the presence of sandwich baggies commonly used in sales. Mr. Morris was also charged with possession of schedule I due to the suspected THC oil. Lastly, Mr. Morris was charged with possession of drug related objects due to the baggies and vape pen commonly used to smoke the THC oil. The booking sheets were completed along with the property forms. The evidence was sealed and deposited into the locker at the Sheriffs Office.
