On Thursday, April 17, 2025, at approximately 2129 hours, I, Deputy Ian Casey, Badge #7320, was actively patrolling the area of North Davis Drive/Mize Circle.

I observed offender’s Robert Brunson and Desi Sims exchanging loud vulgar threatening words within the parking lot of 562 North Davis Drive (Family Dollar). I exited my marked Houston County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Vehicle, Unit #943, and made contact with both parties. I began to identify parties on-scene. I collected Robert’s issued Georgia driver’s license without incident. I next attempted to collect Desi’s name, however, Desi was immediately confrontational about my presence.

Without prior warning, Robert offered combat with Desi, and Desi obliged. Both Robert and Desi began to doff clothing while closing distance from each other, posturing stances indicating forthcoming physical contact.

I detained Robert while other responding Houston County Sheriff’s Office Deputies detained Desi.

Both Robert and Desi were taken into custody for the following violation of the Official Code of Georgia (O.C.G.A.) – 16-11-32 – Affray.

Both Robert and Desi were transported to Houston County Sheriff’s Detention Center for processing via Deputy Knighten of Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

Criminal arrest warrants were signed 04/18/25 against Robert and Desi utilizing the Houston County Magistrate Court in reference to 16-11-32 – Affray.
