On 01-13-2023 at about 1719 hours I, Lt. Bish, made contact with [VICTIM #1] in the lobby at Police Headquarters.

Mrs. [VICTIM #1] told me there was a family violence incident at her residence earlier this month. Police were called, but a report was not done to document the incident. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] advised she contacted the Salvation Army in reference to getting assistance with a temporary protective order. On Jan 06, 2023 Superior Court Judge Lumsden signed a Stalking Ex-Parte Temporary Protective Order.

The order expressly restricts the respondent, Rodderick Kendrick, from having any “contact of any type, direct or indirect, or through another person with the Petitioner, or his/her immediate family, including but not limited to telephone, fax, or any other means of communication”. The order also restrains the respondent from any “acts directly or indirectly which harass and/or intimidate the petitioner or his/her immediate family. This order was served to the respondent by the Houston County Sheriff’s Office on 01-11-2023.

On 01-13-2023 Mr. Kendrick called her son and left a message on his voicemail. Mr. Kendrick made the following statements on voicemail.

“When I tell you you need to call me son, you need to call me and I mean ASAP”
“Don’t let your mama get you in trouble, I’m telling you that now”
“Please, don’t make me return this phone call”

The tone was very intimidating. The call alone violated the order that was signed by Superior Court Judge Lumsden. The call was placed 2 days after being served by the Sheriff’s Office.

Mrs. [VICTIM #1] advised she wanted to prosecute for this violation. I have a digital copy of the voicemail that was attached to the case in RMS. I also attached a digital copy of the order signed by the Superior Court Judge to the case. The actual faxed copy from the order from the Houston county 911 was turned in to evidence. The conversation with Mrs. [VICTIM #1] was recorded on BWC.

I will sign warrants for aggravated stalking on Mr. Kendrick.
