On 09/04/2023 at approximately 12:26, I Ofc. Cooley along with Ofc. Lowry responded to [200 BLOCK] Camellia Cir. Warner Robins, Ga.

Upon arrival I saw a male and female in the front yard. As I approached the male Mr. [VICTIM #1] called my name, but I was unable to recall when we had met prior. The was also a female Mrs. Ruby Simmons who immediately became upset that Mr. [VICTIM #1] was trying to talk to me first. I informed her to calm down I would speak with everyone. As I spoke with Mr. [VICTIM #1], I could see she was becoming irate so I directed my attention to her. I asked Mrs. Simmons to explain what happened.

Mrs. Simmons informed me as she was getting her things Mr. [VICTIM #1] grabbed her. She then went for her firearm which Mr. [VICTIM #1] got from her. Mr. [VICTIM #1] then passed the firearm to Mrs. Simmons’s son a Mr. [WITNESS #1] who was also on scene. Mrs. Simmons then stated she had tried to stab Mr. [VICTIM #1] with a screwdriver to get him off of her, but did not provide specifics as to how he was on her. Mrs. Simmons handed me the screwdriver and showed me the location of the firearm which was loaded in the front passenger seat.

I then spoke with Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] informed me they had an argument and she grabbed the firearm threatening to shoot him. Once he got the gun from her and gave it to her son to get it away from her she tried to stab him with a screwdriver.

I also spoke with Mr. [WITNESS #1]. He informed me both Mr. [VICTIM #1] and Mrs. Simmons appeared to be having an argument which became physical, and Mr. [VICTIM #1] did hand him a gun to get away from Mrs. Simmons.

Both Mrs. Simmons and Mr. [VICTIM #1] were checked for visible offensive and defensive wounds. the only injuries located were on Mr. [VICTIM #1], and all appeared to be shallow cuts to the face. Photos were taken by Ofc. Lowery and sent to my work email to be added into evidence. Due to the testimony not matching but the physical evidence at hand along with the totality of circumstances, Mrs. Simmons was placed into custody. Her son was unable to provide a clear objective as to what started the argument, but when asked if he saw Mr. [VICTIM #1] strike Mrs. Simmons at any time he responded with no.

Mrs. Simmons was advised she was under arrest and taken to HQ to be processed for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon under the family violence act.
