On October 3, 2025, I, Deputy B. Durham was assisting with dismissal at the bus ramp at Warner Robins High School when multiple students where involved in an altercation.

I immediately ran towards one of the students, later identified as Simone Statam. I tried to calm her down, but she refused to calm down. I asked Simone to sit in the rear of my vehicle so she could calm down. Simone snatched away from Deputy Nelson and me and tried to fight the other students who were involved in the altercation as well. At that time, I used the appropriate amount of force ( by using a leg sweep) and escorted Simone to the ground to gain control and place her into handcuffs. The handcuffs were placed in the rear, checked for proper fit, and double-locked.

After she was handcuffed, I instructed her to roll over on her side so I could assist her to her feet. I escorted Simone to the rear of my vehicle and placed her inside. I transported Simone to the Houston County Detention Center, where she was booked on charges.
