On 05/05/2025, at 1733 hours, I, Deputy Krauter of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) was dispatched to the area of Arena Rd/ Kings Chapel Rd in reference to a Physical Domestic.
Dispatch advised a passerby observed a black male and white female outside of a vehicle fighting and at a point in time the black male had the female pinned to the ground beating her. I was advised by Corporal (Cpl.) Ferguson to respond Code 3 lights and sirens. I activated my emergency blue lights and sirens and responded to the scene.
While enroute to the scene Dispatch advised the female had left the male on the side of the road at an unknown address on Kings Chapel Rd and she was now located at the entrance to Sadie Heights Subdivision. I arrived in the area and made contact with the Victim, the ex-girlfriend, [VICTIM #1]. When I made contact with her, she was crying, and I observed red marks on the front of her neck near the base of her neck and collar bone. She was interviewed and advised the following:
She arrived at the residence of the [2200 BLOCK] Kings Chapel Rd, with [WITNESS #1], her daughter [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY]/2019) where the offender, her boyfriend, Tylon Tharpe was helping [WITNESS #2], Tylon’s friend, [WITNESS #2] cut his grass. When she arrived Tylon asked her for her phone because he believed she was talking to someone else beside him. She gave him back the phone and he began verbally abusing her and arguing with her. She attempted to walk away from him, he yelled at her “here you want it” and threw the phone to the ground, which smashed it on the road. She ran to the phone grabbed the phone and attempted to walk toward her vehicle. Before she could get to the vehicle, he grabbed her from the back, slammed her to ground, and began hitting her in the right eye. While on the ground she attempted to get up and flee from him but he kept her pinned to the ground, and had her in a choke hold attempting to strangle her with his hands around her neck. She advised she tried to bite him but to no avail. She continued to fight in an attempt to escape, but he continued to keep her on the ground. While on the ground he kicked her and then slammed her head on the ground. While on the ground she grabbed her Iphone and attempted to call 911 using SIRI, but he slapped the phone out of her hand. He then took her wallet out of her pocket, he stopped attacking her, and walked away. She got up and followed a witness down the road in her vehicle to the entrance to the Sadie Heights Subdivision. She confirmed she believed that Tylon would of killed her given the chance because while he was attacking her he made the statement that he would kill her.
[VICTIM #1]’s wallet was retrieved from Tylon and returned to her. [VICTIM #1] also advised she was ten weeks pregnant with Tylon’s baby. [VICTIM #1] was offered to be checked out by EMS but refused.
I made contact with [WITNESS #3] (Name Restricted) who requested not to be named in the report, she was interviewed, and advised the following:
While she was eastbound on Kings Chapel Rd in her vehicle, she observed [VICTIM #1] and Tylon outside the vehicle fighting with each other. She stopped because she observed the male get on top of the female punch and kick her. She also observed him attempt to strangle her with his arms and hold her on the ground. She advised when the male stopped attacking her she told [VICTIM #1] to follow her to the entrance of Sadie Heights Subdivision.
I made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and confirmed that she witnessed Tylon attack her mother and attempt to choke her while she was pinned to the ground. I asked her if she was scared and she advised yes, and during the interview she began to cry when she was giving her statement.
Contact was made with [WITNESS #2] at [2200 BLOCK] Kings Chapel Rd, he was interviewed, and advised the following:
He and Tylon were cutting grass and when [VICTIM #1] arrived at his residence to talk to Tylon. He continued to cut the yard and made several round on the lawnmower. While he was making his rounds on the mower everything appeared fine until he came back from the backyard and observed Tylon and [VICTIM #1] fighting with each other on the ground. While they were fighting Tylon had [VICTIM #1] pinned to the ground and he was hitting her. He also observed [VICTIM #1]’s daughter in the back seat of the vehicle and she was visibly upset and crying. He got off the lawn mower and told them to stop fighting and leave because the Sheriff was probably on the way. After telling them that [VICTIM #1] got in her vehicle and drove westbound on King Chapel Rd and Tylon briefly stayed on scene until law enforcement began arriving and that was when he began walking westbound on Kings Chapel Rd. He advised Tylon and [VICTIM #1] had been together for approximately eleven months and there were ongoing issues between them. He even warned Tylon that if he did not leave [VICTIM #1] she was going to get him in trouble.
Dep. Archie made contact with Tylon who was walking west on Kings Chapel Rd. Dep. Archie arrived on scene and detained Tylon. Tylon was placed in handcuffs, the handcuffs were checked for properfit, and double locked. He was checked for contraband/ weapons and none were found on his person. He was secured in the backseat of the patrol vehicle where I made contact with him. I advised him of his Miranda Rights and he refused to answer further questioning concerning his account of the incident. I advised Tylon he under arrest for aggravated assault.
Dep. Archie transported Tylon to the HCSO Detention Center were all booking paper work was completed and he was turned over to Detention Center Staff.
