Officer’s Narrative:

On March 10, 2025, at approximately 1800 hrs, I (Deputy Davis) was dispatched to [500 BLOCK] Lake Joy Road in reference to shots fired.

While enroute, dispatch informed me the caller was attempting to break up a fight and his stepson got mad at him. This caused the stepson to shoot at him, missing him and hitting his rear driver’s side window on his vehicle.

Upon arrival, I observed numerous individuals standing outside under the garage. Other deputies secured the offender prior to my arrival. Other deputies and I entered the house and began to clear it for other possible offenders or victims. We did a security sweep of the residence with negative findings throughout the house.

Michael Huggins interview:

I turned my attention to the caller, Michael Huggins. Michael informed me as he was outside in his “man cave”, his wife began yelling from inside the house for him to come inside because they were having a physical altercation going on inside of the house. Michael informed me he entered the house and saw Clarivel Leon and Shakerra Collier on the ground fighting. Michael then stated he saw Jshin Turner standing over them. Michael stated he grabbed Jshin to get him off of the two females with the intention of breaking them up. Michael stated that is when him and Jshin began fighting, he said he was going outside to get his cellphone to call the police. Michael stated he went out to his vehicle to grab his phone.

This is when Michael stated he was shot at. He stated Jshin was standing in the doorway when he shot at him. Michael stated he did not realize he got shot at until he came back outside and saw his glass was shattered with a bullet hole in it.

I asked Michael to clarify when he believed he got shot at and he advised when he came back outside for the second time and noticed there was a bullet hole in his rear driver’s side window. Michael stated he only wished for us to remove Jshin from his residence.

As I continued to ask Michael questions, he was not able to recall the events. While speaking to Michael, I noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage from his person.

Clarivel’s interview:

I then made contact with Clarivel. She informed me once she and Jshin arrived at home, they heard Shakerra yelling at her baby nephew. Clarivel stated Jshin told Shakerra to stop talking to his nephew like that. Clarivel stated Shakerra and Jshin always verbally argue but nothing ever got physical. Clarivel stated when Shakerra was walking outside, she stated, “I don’t know why they keep locking the door”. Clarivel replied with, “It’s a habit”. Clarivel stated Shakerra thought she said something toward her, and they began arguing. She then stated she dropped her bags, and they began fighting. While they were fighting, Clarivel stated Wykeshia Huggins went outside and called for Michael.

Clarivel stated once Michael came inside, he grabbed Jshin and pushed him into the wall, and they began fighting. She stated Michael got Jshin in a headlock, but Jshin was able to get out. She then stated Wykeshia began yelling at Jshin and telling him to get off of her husband. Clarivel stated Wykeshia grabbed a knife and began threatening to stab Jshin. Clarivel stated when she brandished a knife, Jshin pulled out his firearm and told Wykeshia that she was not going to stab him. She stated Michael and Jshin continued fighting but was broken up.

She then stated Michael went outside to get his gun from his vehicle and Jshin followed him. Clarivel stated Michael told Jshin he was going to shoot him which was when Jshin fired his gun at Michael. Clarivel stated Michael started running inside of the house to shoot Jshin and her and Jshin locked themselves in the room while he was trying to get inside of the room. Clarivel stated they stayed in the room until law enforcement arrived on scene. Clarivel stated she saw the firearm in Michael’s hand while he was inside of the house.

Shakerra’s interview:

Shakerra stated she was getting her nails done by her mom in the kitchen and her nephew was crying a lot. She stated she told her nephew to stop crying and Jshin entered the house and told her not to talk to his nephew like that. She stated her and her brother, Jshin, continued to argue for a few minutes and she began getting ready for work. When she was getting ready to leave, she stated she made a comment about people always locking the door and Clarivel stated it was a habit. Shakerra stated they began fighting after this comment from Clarivel. Shakerra stated she heard a shot but did not remember anything else.

Wykeshia’s interview:

Wykeshia stated she was doing Shakerra’s nails before work and Jshin walked inside and told Shakerra to stop yelling at his nephew. They then began arguing back and forth and “craziness” begun to happen and remembers someone being called a “h*e”. Wykeshia stated Shakerra and Clarivel began fighting and she went outside to get Michael. She then went back inside and saw Jshin and Clarivel fighting her daughter, Shakerra.

Wykeshia then stated Michael tried getting Jshin off of Clarivel and Shakerra and Jshin grabbed Michael. She stated she told Jshin to get her hands off of her husband and next thing she knew, a gun was pulled out by Jshin. When Wykeshia was asked about other weapons being involved or the threat of other weapons, she stated there were not any other weapons or threats.

When Wykeshia was asked about the gun going off, she stated she did not realize the gun went off. She then stated she heard it, but then stated she was told a shot was fired. Wykeshia then stated she told Michael she was going to call 911, but he went out to his vehicle to get his cellphone to call instead.

Jshin interview:

I was informed Deputy Hazen advised Jshin of his rights under Miranda, and he agreed to speak with us.

Jshin informed me he walked inside and made a comment to Shakerra about how she was talking to his nephew, and they began arguing. He advised everyone began arguing and trying to break up the fight between Shakerra and Clarivel. Jshin stated his stepdad came inside and pushed him against the wall and then they began to fight. Jshin stated Wykeshia came inside and threatened him with a knife after she saw Jshin on top of Michael. Jshin stated he pulled his gun out and told Wykeshia if she stabs him, he is going to shoot her. Jshin then stated Michael said, “Don’t worry about it, I’m about to go get my gun”.

Jshin stated Michael started walking out of the door, toward his car and Jshin told Michael, “If you grab it, I’m going to kill you”. Jshin stated Michael went into the car, grabbed the gun and pointed it toward him. Jshin stated this was when he ducked and shot his gun at Michael at the same time, but his gun jammed. Jshin stated he ran into the room and locked himself and Clarivel inside until law enforcement arrived.

After interviewing all parties and discussing with other deputies on scene, Michael was placed in handcuffs, double locked to the rear and checked for fit. Shakerra, Clarivel and Wykeshia were also placed in handcuffs, double locked to the rear and checked for fit. Shakerra and Michael were secured in the rear of Deputy Archie’s vehicle, Clarivel and Jshin were secured in the rear of Deputy Hazen’s vehicle and Wykeshia was secured in the rear of Deputy Krauter’s vehicle.

All parties were transported to the HCDC where they were all booked on the following:

Jshin was charged with Aggravated Assault (O.C.G.A. 16-5-21)
Jshin was charged with Aggravated Assault for following Michael outside of the residence and shooting at him with a firearm.

Michael was charged with Aggravated Assault (O.C.G.A. 16-5-21)
Michael was charged with Aggravated Assault due to him pulling a pistol and pointing it at Jshin as well as threatening Jshin’s life with the threat of a firearm.

Wykeshia was charged with Aggravated Assault (O.C.G.A. 16-5-21)
Wykeshia was charged with Aggravated Assault due to threatening Jshin’s life by stabbing him with a knife.

Clarivel was charged with Affray (O.C.G.A. 16-11-32)
Clarivel was charged with Affray due to the mutual combat between her and Shakerra.

Shakerra was charged with Affray (O.C.G.A. 16-11-32)
Shakerra was charged with Affray due to the mutual combat between her and Clarivel.

The vehicle that was shot was a green 2006 Nissan Altima (GA #[REDACTED]).

A spent shell casing was recovered from the scene and dropped into evidence and photographed. The firearm was a black Taurus G2C (SN# AEB080231). The firearm, along with a black 9mm magazine and 10 9mm rounds, were dropped into evidence at the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
