[NARRATIVE #1 on January 29, 2025]
On Wednesday, 01/29/2025, at or around 0930-1000 hours while working security at the Jones County Courthouse (front access control point) I had contact with the suspect (Glenda Y. Crosby). Suspect appeared irate when she entered the Courthouse and when she went through the metal detector. I stated to the suspect that she may have to take her hat off before going into the courtroom. Suspect became agitated and threw her hat down and stated keep the “fu*king thing”. The suspect walked off using multiple curse words in a loud and disrespectful manner inside the Courthouse, where several employees and customers could hear. This was the third time the suspect had gone out of the Courthouse and come back inside using multiple curse words and being disrespectful.
I made contact with the suspect at the elevator on the first floor of the Courthouse and advised her to calm down or she would have to leave. Suspect continued to be irate and confrontational with me as I attempted to calm her down. Suspect entered the elevator and I had to stop the elevator from closing. Suspect continued to be confrontational and would not listen or comply with my commands. I advised the suspect that she was going to have to leave and she continued to ignore me. I grabbed the suspect’s right arm and began to escort her out of the Courthouse. Suspect resisted and pushed me away yelling “get your hands off of me”. I put the suspect up against the wall outside the elevator as she continued to resist and not comply with my commands. I put the suspect on the ground to gain control and apprehend her. [WITNESS #1], Chief Deputy Clerk, Jones County Superior Court (see supplemental report), assisted me in placing handcuffs on the suspect as we were on the floor.
Suspect was placed under arrest, handcuffed behind back, placed in the back of the patrol car, and transported to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office Jail where she was turned over to jail personnel.

[NARRATIVE #2 on January 29, 2025]
The following is a statement written by a witness:
On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at approximately 09:30 hours, I head a women in the main lobby area state that she was “not going to pay child support or that hookers bills” as well as curse words and that she hated Jones County. The woman appeared to leave the courthouse through the front door. Several minutes later she came back into the lobby where she told Deputy Kevin Watkins “here just keep this” in a loud confrontational voice. The woman continued to be loud and walked through the lobby area towards the hall with the elevator. I head Deputy Watkins speak to her as she walked by and he appeared to follow her.
I walked out of my office to the corner of the hall with the elevator just out of view of Deputy Watkins and the woman so as not to inflame the situation, but to aid him in case he needed help. I head Deputy Watkins try to calm her down telling her that she could not act like how she was acting in the courthouse. She was confrontational with him during this time and would not listen to him. It appeared the woman tried to enter the elevator ignoring Deputy Watkins. Deputy Watkins told her that she was going to have to leave when I heard a scuffle. I went around the corner and found Deputy Watkins pressing the woman, who appeared to be middle aged with brown gray hair and black clothes, against the wall by the water fountain. She appeared to be resisting with her hands in front of her chest and would not comply with Deputy Watkins orders. Deputy Watkins took her to the ground as I approached and put her left hand behind her back. Her right hand was underneath her chest so I secured her right wrist and placed her right hand behind her back and advised her to calm down. Deputy Watkins placed handcuffs on the woman, rotated her on her side, and helped her to a standing position. He escorted her to the front desk where he double locked her handcuffs, and retrieved the item she left at the security checkpoint. She was then escorted out of the courthouse.
