On 05/04/2026 at approximately 1653 hours I Sergeant Maria Gebelein responded non-emergency to [100 BLOCK] Mill Street in reference to an assault.

Upon arrival I made contact with The Complainant [WITNESS #1] who reported that she was standing outside of [100 BLOCK] Mill Street when she witnessed that on Carey J Buckner Street The Offender Willie J Lyons punched the Victim [VICTIM #1] in the head several times who is disabled causing a contusion to Mr [VICTIM #1] forehead, Mr [VICTIM #1] was transported by Ambulance to Upson Hospital.

Myself and Officer Heintz made contact with Mr Lyons who was extremely intoxicated at his residence at [200 BLOCK] Indian Trail, I asked Mr Lyons where he just came from of which he said uptown where boolie live. I asked Mr Lyons to step out of his residence, I then placed Mr Lyons under arrest for simple battery and inflicting pain on a disabled person. I placed handcuffs on Mr Lyons wrist behind his back and double locked them, I checked Mr Lyons for weapons and contraband and then placed Mr Lyons in the back seat of my assigned patrol unit #6 and seat belted him in after checking the backseat for contraband and weapons.

I transported Mr Lyons to Lamar County Detention, I exited my patrol unit and secured my weapon in the front seat of my patrol unit, I opened the back door, unseat belted Mr Lyons and escorted him into the Detention Center and turned Mr Lyons over to Lamar Detention Personnel.
