On September 27, I, Deputy Pope, responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of US highway 257 and Hillbridge road.

Upon arrival, I spoke with both parties and confirmed that neither reported any injuries. Unit 1 stated they were traveling south on US highway 257 behind unit 2. Unit 1 attempted to pass unit 2, but when returning to the right lane, collided with unit 2 and ended up in the ditch. Unit 2 reported traveling south on US highway 257 when unit 1 entered the left lane, accelerated, and then turned back into the right lane, striking unit 2 and causing her vehicle to spin multiple times.

After reviewing both statements, examining the vehicle damage, and assessing the roadway markings, I determined that unit 1 intentionally made contact with unit 2 with the intent to run her off the road. I placed unit 1 under arrest and will be pursuing warrants for aggravated assault. Johnson’s wrecker service is in possession of unit 1’s vehicle.
