[NARRATIVE #1 on August 07, 2026]

On Friday, August 7th, 2026, approximate 2148 hours, Deputy Croft was dispatch to [1100 BLOCK] Salter Square in East Dublin, Georgia 31027 in-reference to a prowler.

Upon arrival, Deputy Croft spoke with the complainant, who identified himself as Mr. Dwayne Johnson (did not show any identification to verify his identity). Mr. Johnson advised that two black males and two black females were messing with his 1992 Honda Accord but did not explain how. Mr. Johnson took Deputy Croft to where the vehicle was. As we approached the vehicle, Mr. Johnson advised there they were. Deputy Croft shine his county-issued flashlight and saw no one.

Deputy Croft proceeded to check the property. Once the property was checked and determined safe, Deputy Croft came to the conclusion that no one had been around the vehicle or had messed with it. The 1992 Honda Accord did not have any identifying marks on it showing any individuals had messed with it, for the vehicle was covered in dust and cobwebs. Deputy Croft spoke with Mr. Johnson and advised him of his findings. Mr. Johnson advised that was okay, but if we could still check around, at this time the call was concluded.

At approximately 2225 hours, Mr. Johnson called Laurens County Dispatch and advised them that the same people that he described to Deputy Croft were back in his yard trying to take his car. Approximately 2257 hours, Deputy Croft arrived on scene and observed the 1992 Honda Accord in the same spot in the yard as before and no one in or around the vehicle. Mr. Johnson stepped out from his residence and advised Deputy Croft that his vehicle was gone and that they took it.

Deputy Croft advised Mr. Johnson that the vehicle was still in his yard and had not moved. Mr. Johnson went to lay eyes on the vehicle himself. Once Mr. Johnson laid eyes on the vehicle, Mr. Johnson asked if we could just keep an eye on him every so often. At this time, the call was concluded.

Approximate 0039 hours on Saturday, August 8, 2026, Deputy Croft was dispatched to [1000 BLOCK] Salter Square, East Dublin, Georgia 31027 in reference to a burglar. The Caller advised Laurens County Dispatch that the same individuals from earlier were trying to enter their home. Deputy Croft was busy on another county call at this time; because of this, Deputy Fordham went en route to assist.

Once Deputy Fordham concluded the call, Deputy Fordham advised Deputy Croft that it was the same residence as the last two previous calls. Deputy Fordham advised that Mr. Johnson advised that the same individuals were trying to steal his vehicle.

Approximate 1002 hours, Mr. Johnson called Laurens County Dispatch advising that someone was in his yard again. Deputy Croft arrived on scene; Deputy Croft did not see anyone on the property and proceeded to check the vehicle again. Once the vehicle was checked, Mr. Johnson stepped outside. Deputy Croft asked Mr. Johnson for his driver’s license; Mr. Johnson advised that he has never had a license or an identification card.

Deputy Croft had Laurens County Dispatch run Mr. Johnson’s information through National Criminal Information Center (NCIC). While waiting for Mr. Johnson’s information to come back, Deputy Croft could smell an alcoholic beverage coming from Mr. Johnson’s person. Deputy Croft asked Mr. Johnson if he had consumed any alcoholic drinks tonight. Mr. Johnson advised that he won’t lie that he has had a few and properly why he is seeing stuff. At this time, Laurens County Dispatch advised Mr. Johnson that information was not found. Deputy Croft then placed Mr. Johnson under arrest by placing both his hands behind his back, checking for fitment and double locking them.

Before placing Mr. Johnson in the backseat of Deputy Croft’s patrol car, Deputy Croft searched Mr. Johnson to invertor any personal effects on him. While doing so, Deputy Croft found a wallet on Mr. Johnson that contained an Identification card through Georgia. The picture on the Georgia Identification card matches Mr. Johnson, but the First name does not. The first name Mr. Johnson gave Deputy Croft was Dwayne, and on the Georgia Identification card was Dexter.

Deputy Croft asked Mr. Johnson about the names, and Mr. Johnson advised Dwayne and Dexter what is the difference.

Deputy Croft had Laurens County Dispatch run Mr. Johnson’s Georgia Identification card information through the National Criminal Information Center (NCIC). While waiting for Mr. Johnson’s information to come back, Deputy Croft finished searching Mr. Johnson. Deputy Croft located a small clear plastic bag with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana in Mr. Johnson’s right watch pocket.

At this time, Laurens County Dispatch advised Mr. Johnson was wanted out of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Johnson was then placed in the back seat of Deputy Croft’s patrol vehicle and transported to the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Jail without incident.

Deputy Croft will obtain warrants for Mr. Johnson for Misuse of 911, False Report Of A Crime, False Name and Birthdate, and Possession of Marijuana Less Oz.

Pictures of the marijuana were taken and set to be destroyed.
