On 02/08/2025 at approximately 2200 hours, I responded to [200 BLOCK] Miller Road, Leesburg, Ga 31763 in reference to a Burglary later found to be an criminal trespass.

Upon arrival, I made contact with unknown male subject later founded to be Eric Hammons (offender) in the back of the residence. I asked what was he doing outside naked and to put the mop stick he had in his hand down. Eric stated that he was being chased, he needs some water and he is diabetic. I advised Eric to put the mop down and I would get him some water he ignored my verbal command and walked around the front of the residence. Eric then turned on the water hose and started drinking from it. Eric was place in handcuff, detained and place in the back of my patrol vehicle. Med 5 personnel responded to the scene due to Eric advising he was a diabetic. Med 5 checked his sugar levels and advised he was in normal range (124).

I then made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (Complainant Victim) who essentially stated the following: Him and his wife was watching TV when they heard a noise on the back door of their residence. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated once he went to the back door, he seen Eric Hammons standing at the door naked banging on his door with a mop saying “Let ME IN” his residence but Eric kept banging on the door with the mop and breaking items [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had on his back porch. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he went to retrieve his gun because he didn’t know if Eric was trying to break into his house or not. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised Eric to leave his residence but Eric kept bang on the door with the mop and breaking items [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had on his back pouch. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he seen Eric break his mop stick which is valued at ($43.00), Light fixture which is valued at ($25.00) and his Metal Shelf which is valued at ($25.00). [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then went on to say that Eric never made it inside his residence and that he doesn’t know Eric or where he came from.

While on scene, a photo was taken of the broken items, which will be uploaded to this report. Due to verbal and written statements from [REDACTED BY AGENCY], along physical evidence of the broken items, Eric Hammons was arrested for Criminal Trespass and taken to the Lee County Jail. Due me not being able to identify Eric at the time being of the state of mind he was in at the time a warrant for Criminal Trespass will be taken on a later date.
