[NARRATIVE #1 on May 27, 2026]

On 5/27/2026 at approximatley 0046 hours, I, Deputy Aaron Parker, conducted a traffic stop on a black in color Mercedes GLE (NJ Tag [REDACTED]) in the 1600 Block of US19 South. As a result, Sobiya Ali was arrested for DUI Alcohol, and Trafficking in Marijuana.

SUPPLEMENT #1 Deputy Aaron Parker – 3026 05/27/2026 04:03

On 5/27/2026 at approximately 0046 hours, I, Deputy Aaron Parker, was concluding a traffic stop in the 1600 Block of US 19 South, when a black in color Mercedes GLE bearing NJ tag [REDACTED] came past me traveling south bound at a very high rate of speed. I did not have a speed detection device on at the time to get an exact speed, however, based on my visual estimation, the vehicle was traveling well in excess of the posted 45 mile per hour limit in that area. I immediately turned around and activated byblue lights and siren in an attempt to catch up to the vehicle. The driver traveled with me behind her, approximately 1 mile into the Albany City Limits slowing down and speeding up, and finally came to rest at the intersection of N Slappey Blvd, and Temple Ave. Due to the erratic driving behavior of the driver, I immediately asked her to step out of the vehicle, and I placed her in handcuffs behind the back to investigate further.

While I was handcuffing her, the driver consistently snatched away and started yelling do not search my car. While handcuffing the driver, I immediately noticed a strong odor of alcohol emitting from her breath. I asked her if she had anything to drink and she stated that she had not. The driver was identified as Sobiya Ali. While talking to Ali, she had a hard time standing, and was slurring her words. Ali’s eyes were bloodshot red, and she staggered from the front of the vehicle while walking to the front of my vehicle. Ali began sobbing and snatching away from me as I wastrying to hold her steady. Due to her being uncooperative with simple instructions, and seemingly combative, I decided it was best to not un-cuff her to conduct Standardized Field Sobriety testing to avoid any further physical escalation. Based on all of my observations, and Ali’s driving behavior, I advised Ali she was under arrest for DUI Alcohol, and placed her in the back of my patrol vehicle.

I immediately read the Georgia Implied Consent Notice for suspects 21 or older, and asked her to submit to the state administered chemical test of her breath, which she refused to do so. I began searching the passenger compartment of Ali’s vehicle for the source of the intoxicant, and did not find any alcoholic beverages. Due to Ali’s arrest, I called for the next non-preference wrecker to come pick up the vehicle.

While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, I noticed 6 large 24 x 24 x 12 cardboard boxes inthe back seat, and cargo compartment of the vehicle, and 1 smaller cardboard box in the front passenger seat. All of the boxes were secured with tape, so I had no way of knowing what was in them, and if the contents needed to be listed on the impound form. I asked Ali what was in the boxes, and her response was “I don’t know, I am just driving the car.” Based on Ali not telling me what was in the box, and being unsure if there were any valuables that needed to be listed on the impound form, I opened one box where I found multiple vacuum sealed bags of a green leafy substance that later field tested to be Marijuana.

Due to finding the contraband in one of the boxes, a detailed search of the car was conducted and all ofthe boxes were opened and contained more green leafy substance. The following evidence was found inside of the vehicle:

1 Box containing 16 individually vacuumed bags of green leafy substance weighed at 1lb each.

3 Box’s containing 15 individually vacuumed bags of green leafy substance weighed at approximatley 1 lb each.

2 Box’s containing 18 individually vacuumed bags of green leafy substance weighed at approximatlely 1 lb each.

1 Box containing 5 individually vacuumed bags of green leafy substance weighed at approximatlely 1 lb each.

Altogether, there were 102 individually vacuumed bags of green leafy substance that weighed 1lb each totaling approximatlely 102 pounds of the substance. A sample from one of the bags was field tested using a Duquenois Levine Reagent test kit, and yielded positive results for Marijuana. A photograph of the test kit is uploaded to RMS. All of this contraband was processed and placed into the Narcotics Evidence Locker with chain of custody form 15302. A GBI crime lab form was completed, and it will be sent off for further testing. A Copy of the GBI form is attached and uploaded to RMS.

While searching the vehicle, in various locations, was 2 $20 dollar bills of US currency, 8 $10 dollar bills of US currency, 2 $5 dollar bills of US currency, and 4 $1 dollar bills of US currency totaling $134.00 of US currency. All of the currency was bagged and placed into the Narcotics Evidence Locker with chain of custody form 15303. A blue in color Samsung cellphone IMEI [REDACTED] was found in the vehicle, and it was placed on airplane mode and placed into the Narcotics Evidence Locker with chainof custody form 15304. The Mercedes was picked up by Master Body Works and was transported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Impound Lot, and was secured in the lot along with chain of custody form 15305.

Corporal Cameron Jones transported Ali to the Lee County Jail. Ali was booked on DUI Alcohol 40-6-391, and Trafficking in Marijuana 16-13-31. Ali did not have her license on her at the time of arrest, but a DDS 1205 form was completed and will be sent to the Department of Driver Services. A copy of all of the property receipts are attached to the report and uploaded to RMS. Warrants will be taken for the offenses.

[NARRATIVE #2 on May 27, 2026]

On 05-27-2026 at approximately 0108 hours, I, Cpl. Cameron Jones, responded to the intersection of Temple Avenue and North Slappey Boulevard Albany, GA, in reference to a traffic stop conducted by DeputyAaron Parker (refer to Deputy Aaron Parker’s Investigative Report for more information).

I arrived on scene and made contact with Deputy Parker, and I took custody of the female that was placedunder arrest. That female subject was transported, by myself, to the Lee County Jail. While at the jail, the female was asked for her name and other identifiable information. The female refused, essentially stating that she had already given her name to deputies on scene.
