On 12-11-2021 at 0429 hours, I responded to 120 Caswell Ct, in reference to a domestic call.
Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1], who stated she was physically assaulted by her boyfriend, Adrian Scott. She stated while she was out with her friends, Mr Scott came to the club she was at and demanded she leave. She stated her friend took her to her house until she was able to calm down.
Ms [VICTIM #1] stated, when she arrived home around 0300 hours, Mr Scott was upstairs. She stated she grabbed a cover and lied down on the couch. She stated, while she was lying down on the couch, Mr Scott came downstairs and snatched the covers off of her.
Ms [VICTIM #1] stated, when she got off the couch, Mr Scott shoved her onto the floor, got on top of her, and began to slap her in the face. I asked her how many times did Mr Scott hit her. She advised Mr Scott hit her five times in the face. She stated he then took her hands and placed them over her head and sat on her legs.
Ms [VICTIM #1] stated she began to bite Mr Scott on his hands so he would get off her. Mr Scott pushed her back down onto the floor and began to choke her. She stated he released his hands from around her neck when he realized she could not breath.
I asked Ms [VICTIM #1] if she was able to breath when he had his hands around her neck. She advised she was not able to breath when he began choking her. She stated she started screaming and Mr Scott covered her mouth and nose with his hands to stop her from screaming.
She stated Mr Scott immediately left after the incident.
Ofc Santiago did not observe any sign of physical injury to Ms [VICTIM #1].
I advised Ms [VICTIM #1] of warrant procedures. She was provided with a CRN, a victims rights, pamphlet, and information on how to obtain this report.
I made contact with Mr Scott via phone on 12-11-2021 at 1859 hours. I advised Mr Scott the reason for the call. I asked if he could tell me about the incident that took place between him Ms [VICTIM #1].
Mr Scott stated, when Ms [VICTIM #1] arrived home, he was upstairs. He stated around 0330 hours, he went downstairs to where Ms [VICTIM #1] was asleep and snatched the covers off of her, the incident intending to be a joke.
Mr Scott stated Ms [VICTIM #1] got upset and came at him with a knife. He stated he quickly grabbed her from behind and threw her onto the sofa. He stated she began to bite him, and he slapped her so she would stop. He stated he threw her onto the ground and began to choke Ms [VICTIM #1] after she bit him.
Mr Scott stated he then put his hands over her mouth and nose so she could stop screaming. He stated he then released his hands from her mouth and let her get up off the ground. He stated he called his superior officer and advised them of the incident. He stated they told him to leave the residence to defuse the situation.
I made contact with Ms [VICTIM #1] at 1920 hours via phone to conduct a follow up. I asked Ms [VICTIM #1] again about the night of the incident in regards to her having a knife that she did not mention. Ms [VICTIM #1] stated she had got a knife from out of the kitchen and tucked it in between her and the couch.
I asked Ms [VICTIM #1] if she charged at Mr Scott with the knife. She stated she did not charge at him with the knife. She stated the knife did not leave the couch during the time of the incident. She stated when Mr [Scott] threw her on the couch, the knife was still there.
