On Sunday, September 20th, 2026, at 1743 hours I was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] for a domestic.

I arrived on scene at 1800 hours and made contact with the complainant Mr. [VICTIM #1] and his wife, [VICTIM #2]. They stated they had gotten into an argument with their son Mr. Allen Ricks Jr. who lives on the property in a camper. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated his son got in his face and pushed his hand in his face in the yard. He stated Mr. Allen Ricks Jr. then followed him onto the front porch and pushed him hard in the chest area, and he fell down on the porch. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated his son then picked up a shovel and held it like he was going to swing it at Mrs. [VICTIM #2] but put it down and walked away from the residence. When I arrived on scene Mr. Allen Ricks Jr. had already left the scene and he was not able to be located. I did not see any visible injuries on Mr. [VICTIM #1], and he refused Emergency Medical Services (EMS) treatment. I advised him of magistrate procedures on how to apply for a warrant.

At 1910 hours I was dispatched back out for a reopened domestic with the same individual. I arrived on scene and found several family members holding down Mr. Allen Ricks Jr. on the ground restraining him including his brother Mr. [VICTIM #3], his cousin Mr. [WITNESS #1], and his other cousin Mr. [WITNESS #2]. I detained Mr. Allen Ricks Jr. and placed him in handcuffs behind his back that were double locked and checked for fit. I patted him down for any weapons and placed him in the back seat of my car so I could figure out what is going on. Mr. [VICTIM #3] stated his right ankle, or leg was possibly broken or dislocated. I could visibly see his right foot was pointed to the right and not in a normal position. I called for EMS to come and check him out.

Mr. [VICTIM #3] stated he was parked on Cooper Lane with his window down on the phone when his brother Mr. Allen Ricks Jr. walked up yelling and began swinging at him inside of his truck window. Mr. [VICTIM #3] stated he got out of the truck to defend himself and the two began fighting. He stated Mr. Ricks Jr. kicked his right ankle to try and kick his leg out from under him and that’s when he fell on the ground because his ankle was injured. He stated he then helped hold down Mr. Ricks Jr. until law enforcement arrived. After speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at the hospital, he stated it was determined Mr. [VICTIM #3] had a [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

I spoke to Mr. [WITNESS #1] and Mr. [WITNESS #2] and they both stated they heard yelling and screaming and came driving up on Mr. Ricks Jr. and Mr. [VICTIM #3] fighting with Mr. Ricks Jr. on top of him striking him. They both ran over and helped hold down Mr. Ricks Jr. until law enforcement arrived. They both stated they did not see the fight start.

I read Mr. Ricks Jr. Miranda since he was detained and then after agreeing to speak to me, he stated that he was walking back to his house and his brother Mr. [VICTIM #3] jumped out of his truck and got in his face and they began fighting. I asked him who threw the first punch but all he would say is look at me and my shirt which was torn and had blood on it. He had a laceration above his eye which EMS looked and cleaned with some water. He also had some swelling on his forehead.

He was placed under arrest and transported to the Liberty County Jail where booking officers and the jail nurse stated he need to be cleared by the hospital first. I transported him to the hospital where he was given medical treatment including his laceration being glued together and some x-rays on his right shoulder which he said was hurting. After being cleared by medical staff I transported him back to the jail where he was turned over to booking staff without incident. Mr. Ricks Jr. was seat belted in every time he was transported.

I will be securing 2 warrants against him for Aggravated Battery and Simple Battery Family violence.
