On 4/2/2022, at approximately 2315 hrs, I was traveling on E Gen Stewart Way. I observed a grey Subaru bearing (Ga tag [REDACTED]) fail to maintain its lane. The vehicle crossed the yellow double lines then the white lines on E Gen Stewart Way.
I activated my emergency equipment, lights/siren, and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. I approached the driver, Breann Rolle, and explained the reason for the stop. I requested Rolle driver’s license. She stated she did not have it on her, but provided me with her name and date of birth.
I returned to my vehicle and conducted a driver’s license check on my mobile data terminal (MDT). It returned with her license as suspended all for a failure to appear, suspension date 9/27/2021.
Ms Rolle was placed under arrest for driving while suspended. She was issued citations for driving while suspended O.C.G.A 40-5-121 and no license on person O.C.G.A 40-5-29a with a mandatory court date of 5/04/2022. She was given a warning for failure to maintain lane.
The arrest and transport of the suspect followed department protocol consisting of the suspect being searched, handcuffs being applied, checked for fit and double locked. The suspect was seat belted for transport and placed in the backseat of my vehicle. My vehicle was searched prior to and after transport with no contraband found. The suspect was released to the custody of the jail staff. My department issued BWC was on and recording during the traffic stop.
