[NARRATIVE #1 on July 12, 2026]
On 07/12/26 at approximately 1922 hours, I was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic. The complainant advised her sister’s boyfriend “put his hands on her sister”. The complainant told dispatch the male was highly intoxicated and left the scene in a red Chevrolet Silverado.
On scene, I made contact with the complainant, [VICTIM #1], who stated she just returned from the water park with her sister [VICTIM #2], and her sister’s boyfriend (Duane Quandt). Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated upon arriving home, Mr. Quandt who was highly intoxicated, started to argue with Ms. [VICTIM #2] about her not having sex with him. Mr. Quandt went to change a door lock so Ms. [VICTIM #2] went to confront him. Mr. Quandt got angry with Ms. [VICTIM #2] and began yelling at her again. During the argument, Mr. Quandt lifted up part of the couch and threw it at Ms. [VICTIM #2] striking her in the foot and ankle. Before leaving the residence, Mr. Quandt said: “Imma kill yall bit*hes” speaking to Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Ms. [VICTIM #2].
I spoke with Ms. [VICTIM #2] who stated after returning home, Mr. Quandt began yelling at her because she does not have sex with him often. Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated Mr. Quandt was “drunk” and an alcoholic. Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated she was in the process of moving out to get away from him but the process was taking some time. Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated during the argument, Mr. Quandt picked up the couch and threw it at her causing it to land on her left ankle/foot.
I observed swelling on Ms. [VICTIM #2]’s ankle. I also observed a rectangular impression near her ankle which appeared to be consistent with being struck by support leg on the couch. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #2] if she heard what Mr. Quandt said prior to leaving and she stated she heard Mr. Quandt threaten “to kill” them. Photos of Ms. [VICTIM #2]’s injury will be digitally attached to this report.
While speaking with Ms. [VICTIM #2], she spoke to her 9 y/o son [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who was on another couch in the living room. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #2] if [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was in the room or heard what happened and she stated he was in the living room when the incident occurred. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #2] if I could speak with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] so she called him over.
I spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and asked him about the incident. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said he saw Mr. Quandt throw the couch at his mother. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also said Mr. Quandt called his mother the B word (bit*h). [REDACTED BY AGENCY] did not say much about what took place. Ms. [VICTIM #2] advised me her son was autistic and that was the reason he did not say much to me about the incident.
I provided Ms. [VICTIM #2] with a case number, victim’s rights pamphlet, and advised her on how to obtain a copy of this report.
I will be applying for warrants for Battery (FVA), Terroristic Threats and Acts, and Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree.

[NARRATIVE #2 on August 05, 2026]
On 8/5/26 I was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a follow up. The complainant, [VICTIM #2], stated Duane Quandt was on scene at the residence. She stated she was advised to call 911 when he returned to the residence.
I arrived on scene and made contact with Mrs. [VICTIM #2] who stated Mr. Quandt had active warrants through our agency. I ran a check of Mr. Quandt and it returned showing three active warrants. I verified the warrant status through dispatch. The warrants were verified and Mr. Quandt was placed under arrest for Terroristic Threats (FVA), Battery (FVA) and Cruelty to Child 3rd Degree.
Officer Gill transported Mr. Quandt to the Liberty County Jail and was released to jail staff pending his first appearance and bond hearing. The arrest and transport of the suspect followed department protocol consisting of handcuffs being applied, checked for fit and double locked. The suspect was seat belted for transport and the vehicle was searched prior to and after transport with no contraband found.
A copy of this report will be given to the desk operator to have Mr. Quandt removed from GCIC/ NCIC.
