On Monday, 11/3/25, around 1132 hours, while conducting a patrol of the Bradwell Institute school bathrooms, I was notified via my school-issued radio that there was a fight occurring in the female bathroom near the lunch room.
Once I arrived in the area, I observed a large gathering of male and female students entering the bathroom in large numbers. Due to the large crowd, I was unable to enter the bathroom. While attempting to get through students to respond to the disturbance, I was met by assistant principal [REDACTED], who had a student, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] with him who was involved in the incident. I then grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and attempted to escort her to the front office away from the disturbance that was still ongoing.
While trying to escort her away by holding her hands to the rear of her, she attempted to escape by pulling away from me and yelling at other students who were in front of her outside of the bathroom. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was able to break free from my grip, and then she attempted to re-engage with other students who were in the area of the incident. I grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] again and told her to stop resisting. Due to her continuing to pull away from me and yelling at other students, I took her to the ground. Once [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was on the ground, she was eventually placed into handcuffs and escorted to the front office by Deputy Alexander #925.
While in the conference room located in the front office, I observed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] hands to have blood on them, and she was complaining of a bruised elbow. The school nurse was contacted and treated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injuries. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said she was in the bathroom when she observed her friend and another female fighting. She said she watched the fight to ensure her friend did not end up on the ground. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said while observing the fight, her hair was pulled, so she joined the fight and began swinging everywhere.
Upon reviewing video footage provided by a student, I observed the video begin with a student recording a large group of students inside the female bathroom. I then observed Francymarie Cruz Irizarry and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] walk towards each other. They then began to exchange multiple punches back and forth. I then observed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] standing next to Ms. Cruz and [REDACTED BY AGENCY], where she joined in unprovoked, seconds after they began to fight.
I observed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] punch Ms. Cruz multiple times with a closed fist. I then observed Jalensia Letbetter hit [REDACTED BY AGENCY] with a closed fist. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then joined in and punched [REDACTED BY AGENCY] with a closed fist. I then observed Deputy Alexander #925 enter the area of the fight, attempting to stop it.
I also observed security camera footage at 1125 hrs before the fight from the area of the 800 hall bathroom, where [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was seen placing vaseline onto [REDACTED BY AGENCY] face as if she was preparing for a physical fight.
All involved parties were released to school administrators/parents pending the outcome of the investigation.
