On 04/10/2022 at 1128 hrs, I was dispatched to [600 BLOCK] Windhaven Drive in reference to a physical domestic.

When I arrived on scene, I made contact with Ms [VICTIM #1] who stated her boyfriend, Mr Jaquincy Campbell, who lives with her left the scene. She stated he was a black male carrying a basket full of clothes, wearing a maroon Nike jacket, black pants, and had dreads. I gave out the description for other units responding to look for the subject.

I asked Ms [VICTIM #1] what occurred. She stated last night Mr Campbell and she got into a physical altercation causing her left hand to be swollen and a small cut on her left arm. She stated she told Mr Campbell to leave the home and he complied. Ms [VICTIM #1] stated Mr Campbell returned to the home this morning around 0830 hrs to collect his items so he could move out. She stated everything was fine until she stepped outside and called the father of her children to ask him to bring her some cigarettes. She stated Mr Campbell became upset and started to grab her by her shirt and was attempting to grab her by the throat which caused the marks on her chest.

Mr Campbell then started to pull the front of her hair. She did strike Mr Campbell with a closed fist on top of his head in an attempt to get him to release her. Mr Campbell then grabbed her by the back of her head and ripped out some of her hair. She stated Mr Campbell then walked out of the home where he kicked the front end of her car. When Mr Campbell saw his items were placed outside, he came back inside the home and damaged her cabinets, and then threw a bottle of mayo at the wall causing a hole. She stated all three of her kids [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (5 y/o), [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (4 y/o), and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (2 y/o)) were placed in their room with the tv on right before the altercation turned physical.

I observed a scratch on the right side of Ms [VICTIM #1] neck, a scratch on the front of her throat, and a scratch on her chest. I observed a portion of the back of Ms [VICTIM #1] head where she was missing some hair and she was able to show me hair that was pulled out. On the vehicle, I observed two small cracks on the grill that Ms [VICTIM #1] stated were from Mr Campbell kicking the car. Inside the home, I observed food all over the floor, a cabinet door that would not stay shut, and a hole in the wall. The hole in the wall had mayo and parts of the lid from the mayo bottle inside of it. Photographs were taken for documentation.

S/cpl Shin (113) was able to locate Mr Campbell on Demere St. He was then provided a courtesy ride back to the property in s/cpl Shin’s patrol vehicle. Officer Conley had central run Mr Campbell through GCIC/NCIC. Central advised Mr Campbell had a warrant out of the Hinesville police department.

I asked Mr Campbell what happened. He stated he and his girlfriend, Ms [VICTIM #1] were arguing because she felt as if he did not love her. He stated she pushed him and he pushed her back. Ms [VICTIM #1] then grabbed his dreads and he grabbed her hair in response. He stated he was upset because she put his stuff outside. He stated he did throw the mayo and then got his stuff and left.

I told Mr Campbell that he had a warrant out of the Hinesville police department and to turn around and place his hands behind his back. I told him at this time he was being detained while we wait for the warrant confirmation and to investigate the altercation. Mr Campbell complied. He was placed in handcuffs, checked for fit, and double locked. We sat Mr Campbell on the ground.

I read Mr Campbell his Miranda warning. Mr Campbell acknowledged that he understood his rights. He then stated, “yes I’ll talk to you”. I told Mr Campbell everything I was told by Ms [VICTIM #1]. Mr Campbell stated everything Ms [VICTIM #1] told me is correct except the part about him hitting her last night. I asked Mr Campbell if he kicked the vehicle and he stated “yes”. I asked him if he broke the cabinets and he stated “yes”.

The Hinesville police department desk operator stated the warrant was valid. The warrant is for criminal trespass (warrant number w21-1605-c for case number 210940774).

I told Mr Campbell that he was now under arrest for criminal trespass damage-FVA, battery-FVA, cruelty to children in the third degree, and an outstanding warrant. Mr Campbell stated that he understood. He was searched incident to an arrest with no contraband found. He was placed in the rear seat of officer Conley’s patrol vehicle, seat belted in, and transported to the Liberty county jail where he was released to the jail staff.

Ms [VICTIM #1] was given a CRN and instructions on how to obtain a copy of this report.

I will apply for warrants on Mr Campbell for criminal trespass damage-FVA, battery-FVA, and cruelty to children in the third degree. My department issued BWC was active for the duration of this call.
