On Saturday, December 27th, 2025, I was dispatched to 23 Talmadge Rd, (Friendly Express) for a black female with a knife.
As I was approaching towards Hwy 84 from Slaten St, I saw the suspect that Central Dispatch described coming across the Highway from Parkers exit on a bicycle. As I approached the offender later identified as Jordin Cook. She tried evading me and took off behind the Dollar General into the woods on her bicycle. I doubled back around and cut her off in the woods behind the meat market.
After coming into contact with Ms. Cook, she was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault, and Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers, searched when I recovered a knife on her person that the complainants said she displayed to them. She resisted when I tried to handcuff her and told me to handcuff her in the front. My response to her was that she is not in charge and she was going to be handcuffed behind her back. She was handcuffed and did not want to get into the transport compartment.
After repeating the command to her a few times, she got in, and her left hand slipped out of the handcuff. She again said that she is to be handcuffed in the front. At that time, we started scuffling when I told her to step out so I could fix the handcuffs. We began scuffling with her sliding over to the other side of the compartment, and when I tried reaching for her leg, she began kicking. I eventually grabbed her leg and pulled her towards me, and pulled out of the truck. She fell on the ground and was told to turn over so I could fix the handcuff. Yet again, she did not comply.
I then said to her that I would tase you and to turn over. She did not, and she was tased. She turned over, and the cuffs were placed on her, and I notified dispatch that my taser was deployed and I was going to take her to Liberty Regional to get checked out. Dispatch asked if I did not want them to meet me, and I said yes, I will meet them at the Vape Store parking lot. At that time, is when I noticed that my left hand was bleeding.
After securing her bike in the rear of my vehicle, we proceeded to the parking lot and waited for EMS. After getting my left hand cleaned up, and Ms. Cook checked out, we proceeded to Liberty County jail, where she was turned over to the jail without further incident. The knife was placed into my gun box for safe keeping. My vehicle was checked for contraband, and none was found. Warrants will be taken out for the listed charges.

CASE HISTORY:
1/14/26
FIRST APPEARANCE
What this means: This is the first time the person went before a judge after being arrested. The judge explained the charges, reviewed the arrest, and discussed bond and legal rights. It is an initial hearing, not a trial.
1/14/26
BOND ORDER GRANTED $2,500 PROPERTY $5,000
What this means: The judge approved bond and set the amount needed for release. This means the person could post a $2,500 secured bond or use property worth $5,000 as collateral. Once bond is posted, the person can be released while the case is pending.
1/14/26
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF BOND
What this means: The judge added specific rules the person must follow while out on bond. These could include things like no contact with certain people, travel restrictions, curfews, or drug testing. If these conditions are violated, the bond can be revoked, and the person can be taken back to jail.
1/22/26
SURETY BOND $2,950.00
What this means: A bail bondsman posted the bond on the person’s behalf. The $2,950 is typically the non-refundable fee paid to the bondsman for securing release. The bondsman is responsible for ensuring the person appears in court.
2/12/26
INDICTMENT – NO BILL COUNT 2
What this means: A grand jury reviewed the charges in the case. “No Bill Count 2” means the grand jury decided there was not enough evidence to move forward on the second charge listed. That specific charge is dismissed, though other charges may still continue.
