Officer’s Narrative:

On Saturday, May 2, 2026, at approximately 0621 hours, I was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a domestic in progress. SGT. Tomlinson (960) and I arrived on scene at 0631 hours. Once on scene, I observed a male and female actively arguing. The male, identified as Mr. Marquis Tootle, granted law enforcement permission to enter the residence. SGT Tomlinson (960) and I separated the two parties to hinder any further altercations.

I made contact with a Ms. [VICTIM #1], who advised she and her boyfriend, Mr. M. Tootle were arguing when she suddenly heard the sound of a gun being cocked once she walked inside of her sister’s, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], bedroom to get away from Mr. M. Tootle. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised she and her sister, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were in the bedroom when she heard the sound of a gun being cocked. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised she never saw Mr. M. Tootle with a gun, nor did he point a gun at her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised Mr. M. Tootle owns a gun and described it as a small blue handgun.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised she did not know where the gun was and believes a friend of Mr. M. Tootle may have left the residence with it before law enforcement arrived. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she was in fact in fear for her life once she heard a gun being cocked. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised the argument was over some insecurities Mr. M. Tootle has. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated the argument began as she, Mr. M. Tootle, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were traveling in her vehicle from Club Frozen. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated at some point during the car ride, Mr. M. Tootle made the statement, of; “I’ll kill all of y’all.” Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised she and Mr. M. Tootle did not get physical with each other.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she and Ms. [VICTIM #1] were inside of her bedroom when she heard the sound of a gun being cocked. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised Mr. M. Tootle and Ms. [VICTIM #1] were arguing outside of her bedroom. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she heard Mr. M. Tootle say the following statement when Ms. [VICTIM #1] entered her bedroom. “Alright b*tch bet, b*tch bet.” [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she heard the sound of a gun being cocked shortly after hearing Mr. M. Tootle’s statement.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised Mr. M. Tootle came into her bedroom and continued to argue with Ms. [VICTIM #1]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she did see Mr. M. Tootle with a gun tucked inside his waistband. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] described the gun she saw as a small black handgun. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised Mr. M. Tootle never pulled the gun out, nor did he point a gun at anyone. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also stated she heard Mr. M. Tootle make the following statement during the car ride from Club Frozen. “I’ll kill all of y’all.”

Mr. M. Tootle advised the argument between him and Ms. [VICTIM #1] was about her not being home at the time they both agreed on. Mr. M. Tootle advised he did not have a gun, and no gun was present. Mr. M. Tootle stated he said, “click clack,” and that is the sound he believes Ms. [VICTIM #1] heard. Mr. M. Tootle advised he and Ms. [VICTIM #1] did not get physical with each other.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she was in the vehicle during the car ride from Club Frozen. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she heard Mr. M. Tootle make the following statement. “I’ll kill all of yall.” [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised they were approximately on Kelly Dr. in Hinesville when Mr. M. Tootle made the statement listed above. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was not present at the residence of Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Mr. M. Tootle.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were issued a Victim’s Pamphlet with a case number and advised on how to obtain a copy of this report.

Mr. M. Tootle was identified as the primary aggressor based upon testimonial evidence. Mr. M. Tootle was placed in hand cuffs, which were checked for fit, double fit, behind his back. Mr. M. Tootle was searched for contraband, with no contraband found. Mr. M. Tootle was escorted to the rear of my patrol vehicle, which was searched for contraband, with no contraband found at the beginning of the shift. Mr. M. Tootle was placed in the rear of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Liberty County Jail. Mr. M. Tootle was released to the Booking Staff without incident.

The proper warrants pertaining to Mr. M. Tootle were taken out. I issued warrants pertaining to Mr. M. Tootle with the following charges.

-Simple Assault (Misdemeanor)
-3 counts of Terroristic Threats/Acts (Felony)

When I presented all 4 warrants to the Judge Silverman, he saw fit to up the Simple Assault (Misdemeanor) Charge to Aggravated Assault (Felony). Once the warrants were updated, Judge Silverman issued the warrants. Mr. M. Tootle was brought before Judge Silverman for a bond hearing, in which bond was denied.
