On 10-31-2021 at 0625 hours, I responded to [900 BLOCK] Pineland ave apt [REDACTED] (Ravenwood Apartments) in reference to a domestic problem.

Upon arrival, I was waved down by a female with a female passenger, who were later identified as [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2], in an maroon Chrysler 200. Both [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] were crying hysterically and stated they feared for their lives.

They ([VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2]) advised a male subject, who they later identified as Nathaniel Miller, shot in the air while they were standing on the porch, then pointed his gun at them. They both advised they feared for their lives and were scared to return to the residence. They advised Mr Miller left prior to my arrival. I had [VICTIM #1] follow me back to the incident location.

Sgt Lui, Ofc Johnson, and Ofc Riddick arrived on scene shortly after.

[VICTIM #1] stated she was in a verbal dispute with Mr Miller because she was not at home when he arrived. She stated she received a phone call from her mother, [REDACTED], who advised Mr Miller just left her residence looking for her.

[VICTIM #1] stated she asked her mother to go unlock the door for Mr Miller. She stated her mother told her brother, Mr [WITNESS #1], to go instead. She stated, before she made it to her residence, she received a phone call from Mr Miller’s best friend, [WITNESS #2]. She advised Ms [WITNESS #2] stated they were getting ready to leave the residence. She stated, when she got there, Mr Miller and Ms [WITNESS #2] were still at the residence.

[VICTIM #1] stated Mr Miller went back inside the residence as she was parking her vehicle. She stated Mr Miller went back inside the residence where he closed and blocked the door with the door stopper. Mr Miller told them he was not opening the door until he finds the spare key to his vehicle. She stated Mr Miller came back outside, onto the porch, irate and began to accuse her of taking the spare key to his vehicle. She stated her Mr [WITNESS #1] walked to her car and asked her about the key. She stated she told them several places where Mr Miller normally puts his spare key.

[VICTIM #1] stated after Mr [WITNESS #1] left her vehicle, she began to roll up her window. She advised Mr Miller stated, “you got me f*cked up,” and fired one round into the air while he was standing on the porch with mc [WITNESS #1] and Ms [WITNESS #2].

[VICTIM #1] stated she began to back out of the parking space, when Mr Miller pointed his gun at her from the porch. She advised Mr Miller then stated, “the next one is going through the windshield,” with the gun pointed in her direction, as she was seated in the vehicle.

[VICTIM #1] stated Mr Miller then ran off the porch, towards her car, with his gun still pointed at her and Ms [VICTIM #2] as he approached the driver’s side of her vehicle, as she as backing up. She stated she immediately drove away from the apartment and drove to the front of the apartment complex. She stated he left the complex with Ms [WITNESS #2].

I made contact with Ms [VICTIM #2] and Mr [WITNESS #1], both corroborated [VICTIM #1]’s statement. Mr [WITNESS #1] stated when he saw Mr Miller pointing the gun at the vehicle from the porch, he jumped on the windshield so Mr Miller would not shoot his sister.

I made contact with [REDACTED] who arrived on scene shortly after. She stated Mr Miller came to her residence looking for her daughter.

During the investigation, I noticed [VICTIM #1] had a doorbell camera. I asked [VICTIM #1] if the camera captured the incident. [VICTIM #1] advised the incident was captured. [VICTIM #1] replayed the incident back on her phone.

On the video footage I observed Mr Miller with a black handgun behind his back as he exited the residence. Mr Miller walks to the stairs and Mr Miller is heard saying, “you got me f*cked up!” And shoots one round into the air. Mr Miller then becomes belligerent and, before leaving off the porch, he stated, “the next one going through the windshield.

I observed Mr Miller run off the porch towards [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle with the gun pointed at the vehicle, as she was backing up. Mr Miller’s friend, Ms [WITNESS #2], is seen trying to stop Mr Miller as he ran towards the vehicle.

Prior to completing this report, sgt Lui made contact with Mr Miller, which resulted in Mr Miller’s arrest.
