On 12-21-2021 at approximately 1130 hrs I was conducting a direct patrol in the area of Tupelo Trl and Sandy Run Dr. I observed a gray ford focus (VA tag: [REDACTED]) enter [600 BLOCK] Tupelo Trl (Smokerise Condominiums). The driver of the vehicle appeared to be Ms Olivia Stroman. I was aware of Ms Stroman having active warrants for her arrest for the offenses of criminal damage to property, theft by taking and battery (see case number 211045532). Officer Riddick and I made contact with Ms Olivia Stroman as she was seated inside of her vehicle. I informed Ms Stroman she had three warrants for her arrest and I secured her in handcuffs as she was seated.

I removed Ms Stroman from the vehicle and conducted a limited search of her person (no contraband was found) before detaining her in the rear of my patrol vehicle. I requested officer Hicks #181 to my location to conduct a more thorough check of her person.

Scpl Wong arrived on scene to assist and he noticed marijuana cigarettes inside of the vehicle. The vehicle also had the odor of marijuana coming from the interior. Scpl Wong, officer Riddick, investigators Colon and Rivera searched the vehicle. Investigator Colon located a half blue pill inside of Ms Stroman’s wallet. The wallet was between her legs when we made contact with her. Investigator Colon also located a purple pill in a clear plastic bag “rip” inside of the driver door map pocket.

I made telephonic contact with narcotics unit and an investigator arrived on scene to assume the narcotics investigation. I transported Ms Stroman to the liberty county jail and released her to the jail staff.

My patrol vehicle was searched before and after the transport of Ms Stroman. No contraband was found during the searches. During this incident my department issued body camera was activated during this incident.

The evidence in the case was collected and later logged into the drug evidence locker.
