On 01/28/26, at 2118 hours, S/Cpl Smith #144, Cpl Coetzee #131, and I was dispatched to 773 Veterans Parkway (Baymont Inn) in reference to a suspicious person.

Upon arrival I met [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who was the front desk clerk at Baymont Inn. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] showed me camera footage of Rocindo Mccrae walking naked while his pe*is was erect, down the hotel hallway into the lobby.

In the lobby, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and her daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (6 years old), were checking into a room. Mr. Mccrae was observed seeing [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and making his way towards her while his pe*is was erect. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then ran towards Ms. [REDACTED] to hide behind her. Ms. [REDACTED] took [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and ran out of the building. At no point did Mr. Mccrae attempt to conceal his erect pe*is from the women and child in the footage.

Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] intervened and escorted Mr. Mccrae back into his hotel room. In the camera footage, Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] remained in the hallway while Mr. Mccrae walked into his room. Mr. Mccrae then grabbed Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] arm and pulled her into the room.

Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated when she was pulled into the room, she said Mr. Mccraes pe*is was still erect. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was pulled into the room without her consent. In the footage, Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was able to break free from Mr. Mccrae’s grasp and run into the lobby behind the counter. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she was scared of what occurred, and called police after.

I was able to make contact with Mr. Mccrae inside his room, still naked but his pe*is was flaccid (Not erect as seen in camera footage). I told Mr. Mccrae to put some clothes on. He started to walk back to his bed and proceeded to lay down on the bed. I told him he needs to get up and put some clothes on, and he continued to ignore my commands and lay on the bed.

S/Cpl Smith #144 advised Mr. Mccrae that if he does not get up, we assist him off the bed. Mr. Mccrae ignored the command again so S/Cpl Smith and I assisted putting pants on Mr. Mccrae, then placed him in handcuffs. I escorted Mr. Mccrae to a marked patrol vehicle. While S/Cpl Smith #144 was watching Mr. Mccrae, without being questioned, he spontaneously uttered “Wait don’t leave, I just wanted to have sex.”

I was able to make contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who was inside her hotel room. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she dropped [REDACTED BY AGENCY] off at her dads residence due to the incident. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was terrified seeing Mr Mccrae’s erect pe*is.

Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] reaffirmed while she was checking into her hotel room, Mr. Mccrae started walking towards [REDACTED BY AGENCY] naked while his pe*is was erect. Fearful, Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] took [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and ran outside the hotel building to avoid interaction with Mr. Mccrae.

Mr. Mccrae was placed under arrest for Public Indecency, Child Molestation, Cruelty to Children in The 1st Degree, Kidnaping, and Obstruction. Mr. Mccrae was read his Miranda Warning and he elected to speak. He was asked if he liked children and he replied saying he likes women, however enjoys playing sports with children.

Transport of the suspect followed department protocol consisting of the suspect being searched, handcuffs being applied, checked for proper fit, and double locked. The suspect was placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle and was seat belted in for transport. The vehicle was searched prior to and after transport with no contraband found.

I gave Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] a case number, and they was advised how to get a copy of this report. I gave Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] my city email and advised her to send me a copy of the video footage or bring footage to the Hinesville Police Department. Warrants will be applied for the allotted time.

ROCINDO ANTONIO MCCRAE HELD WITHOUT BOND BY MAGISTRATE

What this means: A magistrate judge in Liberty County ordered that Rocindo Antonio McCrae be held in jail without the possibility of posting bond. This typically happens in serious felony cases where the court considers the defendant a flight risk or danger to the community. McCrae will remain in custody until a superior court judge reviews the bond decision or until the case is resolved.

BOND ORDERED BY SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE

What this means: A superior court judge in Liberty County reviewed McCrae’s case and ordered that bond be set, overriding the magistrate’s earlier decision to hold him without bond. This allows McCrae the opportunity to post bail and be released from jail while his case proceeds through the court system.
