On 1/12/2022 at 1935 hrs on Kelly Dr and pineland Ave I observed a white ford explorer with a right taillight out.

I conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. I explained the reason for the traffic stop and asked if he had a valid drivers license on him. He said no. I then provided him with a piece of paper so that he could write down his name and date of birth. He wrote Tristian Pullins with a date of birth as [REDACTED].

I ran his name and date of birth on my mobile data terminal (MDT). Mr Pullins came back with a suspended license as well as a warrant through Monroe county for obstruction of a law enforcement officer and fleeing to elude. I made contact with the front desk operator at Hinesville police department who stated the warrant was valid and Monroe county wished to place a hold. Due to Covid procedures the Liberty county jail would not hold Mr Pullins for Monroe county.

I placed Mr Pullins in hand cuffs and search his person. Mr Pullins was then placed in the back of my patrol vehicle.

I made contact with [REDACTED], the registered owner of the vehicle. She arrived on scene to take possession of the vehicle. Mr Pullins was transported to the Liberty county jail. He was issued two citations (driving while suspended/revoked and taillight required). He was given a court date of 2/16/2022 at 0800 hrs and was explained court procedures.

The arrest and transport of the suspect followed the department protocol consisting of the suspect being searched, handcuffs being applied, checked for fit, and double locked. The suspect was seat belted for transport and the vehicle was searched prior to and after transport with no contraband found.

My department issued body worn camera was activated during this incident.
