On March 22, 2022 at approximately 2022 hours, patrol units were dispatched to [30 BLOCK] Center Street in reference to a domestic dispute. Dispatch advised they could hear a female yelling get out and the male saying no. Dispatch also stated the incident sounded physical. Upon arrival, I observed the front door to the residence open.
I approached the front porch area near the front door. I observed a white female, identified as Ms. [VICTIM #1], in the dining room area picking up items from the floor. I yelled at her and asked her about where the male was. She yelled and stated the male subject was in the residence and looked towards her bedroom (to the right as you enter the front door). Ms. [VICTIM #1] exited the residence at this time through the front door and I yelled for the male subject to come to the front door. I was unable to see the male subject during this time. I had my department issued firearm pointed towards the front door of the residence. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated the male subject threatened suicide by cop.
The male subject came to the living room area near the front door, at which time I yelled for him to get down on the ground and he complied. My department issued firearm was pointed at the subject during this time. I noticed the male subject was bleeding near his nose area.
SGT Harriman arrived on scene and proceeded up the stairs of the front porch and into the living room area of the residence. The male subject, identified as Mr. Robertson, was detained at this time in double-locked handcuffs which were checked for fit. He was frisked for weapons and none were located. ADS Henning arrived on scene and Mr. Robertson was placed in the rear seat of his patrol vehicle. SGT Harriman searched the rear seat of ADS Henning’s patrol vehicle prior to Mr. Robertson being placed inside, and no weapons and/or contraband was found. ADS Henning spoke with Ms. [VICTIM #1] during this time.
I read Mr. Robertson his Miranda Rights and he would not answer me. I then returned to ADS Henning and SGT Harriman. SGT Harriman and I proceeded into the residence at this time.
It appeared that a struggle had took place inside the residence. We located several finger nails on the floor in the living room and dining room area. We also located the following items throughout the residence:
1) prescription bottle for Ms. [VICTIM #1] with the lid off and pills through the residence
2) a broken piece of glass on living room floor
3) a gold necklace which appeared to be broken
4) a gold watch
Mr. Robertson claimed ownership of the necklace and watch. SGT Harriman and I also located a hole in the bathroom wall and blood on the carpet in the living room area. I also observed blood on the bed sheet and pillows in Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s bedroom.
EMS checked Mr. Robertson on scene due to him complaining of possibly having a concussion. He was then transported to Liberty Regional Medical Center for jail clearance by ADS Henning.
After being cleared, Mr. Robertson refused to sign the medical paperwork releasing him and had to be physically escorted to my patrol vehicle. The rear seat of my patrol vehicle was searched after my last transport, and no contraband was found.
Mr. Robertson was transported to the Liberty County Detention Center for further processing. The rear seat of my patrol vehicle was searched after transport, and no contraband was found.
I will be securing a warrant for criminal trespass and violating family violence order against Mr. Robertson.
