LOWNDES COUNTY – The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is taking another look into the controversial death of a Lowndes County High Schooler who was found dead inside of a gym mat in the old Lowndes County High School gymnasium in 2013.

Kendrick Johnson’s death was ruled accidental, and has since been the focus of several lawsuits. Johnson’s body has also been exhumed on several occasions by request of the victim’s family – who claim the death was a homicide.
