On October 10, 2025 I was dispatched to [300 BLOCK] Country Lane in reference to a possible physical domestic dispute between a male and female. Dispatch could hear arguing over the phone then the line disconnected, when calling the number back dispatch stated a female advised them they everything was okay and law enforcement did not need to respond. I continued to the scene to do a welfare check on everyone.

When I arrived on scene I made contact with an elderly woman at this residence advising her why I was there, she advised me it was more than likely the camper in the back yard her son stays in. I located the camper/rv in the back yard and could hear someone inside. After several minutes of knocking and announcing sheriff’s office I had no response but could still hear movement every few minutes.

Due to an unknown possible physical domestic situation and no one answering I attempted to open the locked door. When doing so I heard a male began yelling telling me not to break his door. The male later identified as [VICTIM #1] finally opened the door. [VICTIM #1] stated he was sleeping and did not hear us, I noticed [VICTIM #1] was bleeding from the mouth.

I asked [VICTIM #1] what happened and who was the female that was here. The female was identified as Tatsianna Peeples and she had left the scene intoxicated. [VICTIM #1] stated Peeples had been drinking when they started arguing about Peeples accusing [VICTIM #1] of having an*l sex with men. During this argument [VICTIM #1] stated Peeples began biting him and punched him on the left side of his mouth knocking a tooth completely out.

I observed what appeared to be fresh bruising, redness, and bite marks in several locations on [VICTIM #1]’s person including his left arm, back, and shoulder. [VICTIM #1]’s mouth was still bleeding on his upper gum where it appeared he just lost the tooth. [VICTIM #1] stated to get Peeples to stop he did have to push her by her head to get her off him onto the bed. [VICTIM #1] stated that’s when Peeples then left the scene possibly going to [100 BLOCK] Crawford Street where her mother was staying.

I checked the property to make sure Peeples was not hiding. [VICTIM #1] and his mother both advised me that Peeples has been staying with [VICTIM #1] for approximately four months. Peeples was last seen leaving just after 3:50 am from this listed location in a “beat up” tan Honda Accord.

I relocated to [100 BLOCK] Crawford Street observing the described vehicle parked next to the street. I noticed a female in the front seat slumped over holding her phone. A video was playing on the phone but the female was obviously passed out and did not notice me being there. I tapped on the window several times before she woke up.

Once Peeples woke up I opened the door asking her what happened. I could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. Peeples was very slurred while speaking to me stating she was just in an argument with [VICTIM #1] but nothing was physical. I noticed Peeples right knuckles were red as if she just hit something. When asked about it she pointed at her foot stating it was a rash. This was consistent with [VICTIM #1]’s injuries.

Due to physical evidence I advised Peeples to stand up and put her hands behind her back, advising her she was under arrest. Once I placed her in handcuffs she began stating that [VICTIM #1] hit her in the head causing swelling. Peeples was admit that I needed to check for swelling, I was unable to feel anything or see any visible injuries. Peeples requested I get her medication out of her vehicle for her.

Peeples was then transported to the Madison County Detention Center where she was turned over to on duty jail staff. I will be obtaining warrants for battery and aggravated battery FVA.
