On May 8, 2025, at approximately 2200 hours, Officer Turner and I were patrolling the area of Salam and Hill Street when we observed a vehicle traveling with a malfunctioning passenger-side taillight. Officer Turner initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Salam and Oneal.

Officer Turner made contact with the driver while I approached from the passenger side. After collecting the driver’s information, Officer Turner returned to our patrol car. I noticed that the driver’s left hand was down by his side, as if he was trying to conceal something from my view. I then moved to the driver’s side and asked him to roll down the window. The driver refused.

I instructed the driver to exit the vehicle, but he continued to refuse and began to argue. I issued multiple commands for him to exit the vehicle, but he still did not comply. At that point, I opened the driver’s side door and physically removed the driver from the vehicle, bringing him to the ground. I then placed him in handcuffs and informed him that he was under arrest for disorderly conduct. The driver was identified as Dameon Anderson. Mr. Anderson was cited for improper equipment and disorderly conduct. He was subsequently transported to the McDuffie County Jail without further incident. The vehicle was inventoried and towed from the scene by JR.
