On Saturday November 8, 2025, at 0156 hrs. Myself and Officer D. Norman was dispatched to a disturbance and shots fired in the area of Pine St. / Mayfield Rd.

Upon our arrival we heard arguing coming from Mayfield Rd. area. We observed a male and female walking toward Pine St. The two were later identified as Dantavis Boxley B / M and [REDACTED] B / F. The female had a bloody face, but she stated it happened earlier in an apartment when she stepped in front of someone. Mr. Boxley stated they had gone across to [200 BLOCK] Mayfield Rd to get a ride to the store, but an argument occurred between him and Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. Boxley stated the other male had taken his firearm which he had a sales slip for a Taurus G3C 9mm.

I walked across the street to [200 BLOCK] Mayfield Rd and spoke with Mr. [VICTIM #1] and his son [REDACTED]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that Mr. Boxley and Ms. [REDACTED] came to the residence and began arguing outside. The argument was loud enough to wake Mr. [REDACTED]. When Mr. [VICTIM #1] went outside to see what was going on Mr. Boxley ask for a ride to the store. Mr. [VICTIM #1] told them to leave and at this point he said Mr. Boxley reached into his waistband and pulled his gun out. Mr. Boxley pointed the gun at him, and they began to fight over the gun. the gun went off close to Mr. [VICTIM #1]s head. At this point Mr. [VICTIM #1] son [REDACTED] intervened to help pull them apart. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was able to take the gun away from Mr. Boxley. Mr. Boxley then left the property.

I went back to the location across the street and advised Mr. Boxley he was being arrested and warrants taken for the incident. Mr. Boxley was arrested and transported to McDuffie LEC by Officer Norman without incident and turned over to the jail.
