On Saturday November 8, 2025 at 6:25 am I Sergeant Nathan Salyer was dispatched to [600 BLOCK] Dixie Drive in reference to trouble with a subject.

While responding dispatch advised the caller Leah Lancaster advised a Roydarius Hobbs was refusing to leave the residence.

Upon arrival, there was a female and male standing outside on the front porch of the residence verbally arguing to the point, I could hear them from the roadway. While walking up the residence I advised for both the male and female to stop arguing/ yelling at one another. The male who was later identified as Roydarius Hobbs stated you pointed a gun at me to which the female who was later identified as Leah Lancaster openly admitted to pulling a firearm out. Just before I walked up to the porch Lancaster balled up her fist drawing her arm back as if she were going to hit Hobbs, while stating she would assault him.

I immediately grabbed Lancaster left wrist telling her to place her hands behind her back. Lancaster started to tense up her arm but, complied with my verbal commands. I placed handcuff’s on Lancaster wrist’s checked for proper fitting and double locked them.

Officer Mcree arrived on scene at which he took Lancaster towards his patrol vehicle to help defuse the situation due to both Lancaster and Hobbs still verbally arguing with another. I spoke with Hobbs who essentially stated last night he had a verbal argument with his father about Lancaster having another male touch her.

Hobbs stated Lancaster did not like the way he and his father spoke to each other. Hobbs told me Lancaster woke him up stating this, this is what led to them arguing. During my interaction with Hobbs I could smell strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath. Hobbs told me he did consume alcohol the night prior. Hobbs further went into detail about the argument that ensued between him and Lancaster at which they both at some point placed hands on one another.

I left to go back to my patrol vehicle to put my vest on knowing I was going to take Hobbs into custody needing another pair of handcuffs. I spoke with Lancaster she told me she did pull the firearm out to protect herself from Hobbs. I advised Lancaster she was under arrest for disorderly conduct. Officer Mcree transported Lancaster to the McDuffie County Jail for booking. I advised Hobbs he was under arrest for disorderly conduct to place his hands behind his back. I took Hobbs into custody without incident.

Officer Mcree notified me prior to him transporting Lancaster he located a magazine to hand gun was in the front yard of the residence it was recovered by me for safekeeping. I transported Hobbs to McDuffie County Jail for booking. Citations were issued to both Lancaster and Hobbs then, turned over to the jail staff.
