On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 3:33 p.m., I, Sergeant Nathan Salyer, was dispatched to [300 BLOCK] Pitts Street in reference to a disturbance involving a subject.

Upon arrival, I made contact with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that she was at Pitts Street Park preparing to walk when a female, later identified as Tatyana Rogers, approached her vehicle yelling, “Why the f*ck are you following me?” While confronting [WITNESS #1], Rogers was holding a wooden stick down by her side and acted as if she might strike [WITNESS #1] with it. [WITNESS #1] advised that she did not know Rogers and feared she might be injured, which prompted her to contact 911.

Prior to this incident, I had received an additional call involving Rogers at the Depot located on Railroad Street, where she was reportedly causing a disturbance with another individual. I am familiar with Rogers, who commonly displays paranoia and anger when under the influence of crack cocaine. Based on the prior call and [WITNESS #1]’s statement, I decided to take Rogers into custody for disorderly conduct.

I advised Rogers to place her hands behind her back and applied handcuffs to her wrists, checking for proper fit and double locking them. At the time she was taken into custody, Rogers was on her porch directly across the street from Pitts Street Park. At her request, her residence was locked and secured. I then transported Rogers to the McDuffie County Jail for booking.
