On 11/3/[2025], at approximately 2040 hours, I Officer Maranville, responded to [200 BLOCK] Union Hill Drive apartment [REDACTED]. In reference to domestic dispute. Upon arrival I made contact with [VICTIM #1], [VICTIM #2] and Brandon Smith.
Once all parties involved were separated, I then began gathering statements from everyone involved. [VICTIM #2] stated that Smith began disciplining her grandchildren and she didn’t agree with how Smith was disciplining the children, so she stepped in and verbally addressed her concerns with Smith. Smith then became aggressive toward [VICTIM #2], by forcefully stepping in her face and yelling, cussing at her. [VICTIM #1] heard all the screaming from the bedroom and she then stepped in between, Smith and her mother “[VICTIM #2]” to defend her mother.
[VICTIM #1] stated Smith tries to bully everyone in the house because of his large stature. Once [VICTIM #1] stepped in between Smith and her mother [VICTIM #2], Smith grabbed her by her face and pushed her aggressively, with an opened palm in the forehead. [VICTIM #1] also advised during the altercation, Smith bent her index finger back to encourage her to let his hair go. [VICTIM #1] advised she wanted Smith charged for what he done to her.
Upon speaking with Smith, he advised his son had thrown away his dinner and soiled his pants. Due to his son’s actions Smith disciplined his son. That’s when [VICTIM #2] stepped in and he began arguing with her. Then Smith stated [VICTIM #1] confronted him and he stated she grabbed him by his braids. Smith stated he grabbed her finger and bent it back till she released his hair.
Due to the statements received from all parties involved, I did find probable cause to charge Smith with Disorderly Conduct under the city ordinance clause. Smith was then arrested and charged with 15-8 Disorderly conduct subsection (1), (4), and (8). Handcuffs were applied to Smiths wrist, to the rear, double locked, and checked for fit. Smith was then transported to Monroe County Jail where he was released into Monroe County jail custody.
This incident occurred in the living room area of the apartment and neither party had visible injuries. All parties involved declined medical attention.
