On Monday April 13, 2026 at approximately 0915 hours I, Cpl. A. Foust, was dispatched to assist a motorist who was parked on Cochran Rd. near Juliette Rd. While en route, I was notified by Monroe County dispatch the vehicle description matched that of a hit an run vehicle that occurred in the city limits a little while prior.

Upon arrival, I observed an older model white in color Toyota Camry bearing Florida registration [REDACTED]. The vehicle was unoccupied and the registration returned to a Doranda Jo Ussery who also matched the description of the hit and run previously mentioned. Ussery was ran through NCIC who returned to have a suspended license out of FL. I provided the description of the individual to a nearby unit (Dep. Hawkins #225, Dep. Middlebrooks #618) and requested they look around the area for the individual. Shortly after, the individual was located at the Quik Zip store (corner of Juliette Rd and Hwy 87) sitting outside on a bench.

Hawkins and Middlebrooks transported Ussery back to the location of her vehicle where I asked her what happened to her car. Ussery stated “I had wrecked into a tree a ways back, it’s been like that for a little minute but I thought it would still be able to be mobile. I’m trying to get my dog from the pound in Kentucky”. Ussery stated she was coming from Florida and was not sure which exit she took to get off the interstate but she exited the interstate to get gas. When asked when she hit a tree, she stated “a few hours ago” “in north Florida”.

The damage to Ussery’s vehicle was extensive and matched with rear ending a vehicle, not hitting a tree as she described. The hood would not latch and was crushed in evenly across the front end with the majority of the front bumper located in her back seat of the vehicle. Pieces of the passenger headlight were barely hanging on with a corner of the passenger side front bumper barely hanging on as well.

I confirmed with Forsyth Police Department Ofc. Cody #835 this was the vehicle based on description of the damage, paint transfer, location of damage, and driver description. Ussery was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended and hit and run. While placing handcuffs on Ussery a glass meth pipe with brownish, yellow residue and burn spots and a pink glass butterfly attached to it was found under her jacket sleeve near her wrist. Ussery then also advised she had a mirror with residue on it in her purse. A spoon and straw were also found in her purse typically used for drug use.

Ussery was handcuffed in the back, double locked and checked for fit. I transported Ussery to the Monroe County Jail where she was turned over to jail staff. My patrol vehicle was checked prior to and after transport with no contraband found.

Pictures of the vehicle and drug related objects have been added to linked files.

The vehicle was turned over to Comer Towing.
