On Tuesday 05/12/2026 at approximately 1302 hours I, Corporal Ramsey was notified by dispatch of a green Ford pickup displaying Georgia license plate [REDACTED]. Dispatch advised the was truck failing to maintain its lane and driving on the wrong side of the road on High Falls Road.

Dispatch notified me that the complainant spoke with the suspect and believed that they were under the influence. Dispatch advised that the vehicle got onto Georgia 401 South and then exited onto Johnstonville Road, turning into the Marathon gas station.

A short time later myself and Deputy Cox arrived on scene and observed the driver of the green Ford Super Duty passed out at the wheel. I exited my patrol vehicle and approached the driver’s side. I knocked on the window until the driver finally woke up. I noticed the vehicle was still in drive so, I told the driver to put the vehicle in park. Once the vehicle was in park, I asked the drive to step out of the vehicle. Immediately upon opening the driver door, I smelled the overwhelming odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside of the vehicle.

The driver, who I later identified as, Jordan Roberts, had watery eyes that he appeared to barely be able to keep open. Roberts moved lethargically and almost fell while trying to get out of his vehicle. I asked Roberts if he had his driver’s license. Roberts had a delayed response and stated “no”. Roberts looked confused so I then told Roberts that I needed his driver’s license. Roberts again stated “no”. I then asked Roberts for his name and date of birth. Roberts again had a delayed response but, eventually told me his name and date of birth.

I requested dispatch to check him through G.C.I.C. and he returned with a valid driver’s license and without warrants. I asked Roberts if he had anything to drink. Roberts slurred his speech repeatedly saying “I drank” until he finally said that he had two beers. I asked Roberts if he would preform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Roberts did not respond so, I asked him again. Roberts very lethargically refused to preform any testing. I then asked Roberts if he would blow into a preliminary breathe test. Roberts again refused a short time later.

Roberts was placed under arrest with both hands behind his back and double locked. I checked both cuffs for fitment before walking him to the front of my patrol vehicle. I had to assist Roberts to my vehicle to keep him from falling. While speaking with Roberts, he used his trucks door for balance the entire time.

Once at the front of my patrol vehicle, I read Roberts the Georgia Implied Consent Notice for Suspects Age 21 or over. I requested Roberts for the State Administered Chemical Test of his blood. Roberts looked confused and did not answer. I reread the notice and again requested his blood. Roberts consented to the State Administered Chemical Test of his blood.

Monroe County EMS responded to the scene and preformed the State Administered Chemical Test. Deputy Cox located a mostly full can of a Voodoo Ranger alcoholic beverage that was cold to the touch inside of the vehicle. The beverage was placed in front of dash camera. Deputy Cox’s body worn camera was active during the incident. My patrol vehicles dash camera was active during the incident. I searched Roberts prior to placing him in the rear of my patrol vehicle with no contraband found. My patrol vehicle was searched prior to and after transporting Roberts to the Monroe County Jail.

Corporal Foust made contact with one of the complainants on a lot across the street from the Marathon. The complainant should be sending dash camera footage from their vehicle. All evidence was transported to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and properly placed into evidence. Roberts was issued a citation for Driving Under the Influence.
