On 04/16/2026, I, Deputy Pitts, was dispatched to [80 BLOCK] Old Free Hope Rd in reference to a disturbance.

Upon arrival, I made contact with [WITNESS #1] while Corporal Smith made contact with Brandon Holtzclaw. While speaking with [WITNESS #1] and her sister, [REDACTED], she had stated that Brandon had kicked in their door. She had stated that they were engaged but she decided to break up with him. She had stated that at this point he had began to drink and act sporadically. She had stated that he had went outside and began yelling incoherent sentences while looking for cat. She had then stated that at this point, due to his behavior they decided to lock the door.

[WITNESS #1] had then stated that she had heard the banging at which point she realized that he was inside the residence. She also informed me that her son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had also been present during the incident and heard all of it. [REDACTED] had then stated that she had also been present. She had then also stated that Brandon had been living there with them. While speaking with [WITNESS #1], I could hear Brandon slurring his words and calling her name to get her attention. [WITNESS #1] did not speak back to him.

At this time, I had clarified which door it was that he had damaged and instructed them to create distance between themselves and Brandon. Upon inspection of the door, I had seen the damages made upon entry. At this time I had decided to place Brandon under arrest for disorderly conduct. While handcuffing him, Brandon had began to yell for [WITNESS #1] again. I had then checked for fit and double locked the handcuffs.

While escorting him to my patrol car he had started swearing as well as screaming. He had then stated no to which I had assisted him into the vehicle. Once the door was closed, he began to hit his head against my glass partition. Corporal Smith had then placed a safety helmet onto his head. I had then transported him to Murray County Sheriff’s Office without further issue.
