On 11/6/2025 at approximately 20:40, I, Officer Jackson, responded to [900 BLOCK] Old Dalton Ellijay Road, in the city limits of Chatsworth, to assist Deputy Burch S38 in a welfare check.

Upon arrival I spoke to Deputy Burch who advised me that Officer Maddox C31 had received a Gaggle alert pertaining to juveniles that lived in the county. Deputy Burch responded to [100 BLOCK] Skylark Drive in reference to the Gaggle alert.

Deputy Burch then responded to [900 BLOCK] Old Dalton Ellijay Road to check on the child that the Gaggle alert was referencing, Juvenile one a 9-year-old male. I arrived and while speaking to Deputy Burch we realized this incident occurred in the city limits of Chatsworth.

I began by speaking to the mother of juvenile one, [WITNESS #1]. Ms. [WITNESS #1] explain to me that she had left the residence to go begin Sparking (delivery service) and left all four juveniles with her fiancé, Gabriel Coker. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that Mr. Coker called her and told her that juvenile one was being mean to the other juveniles and had used the bathroom on himself.

According to Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Mr. Coker, they have been having issues with juvenile one pooping on himself. She stated that Mr. Coker had whipped juvenile one with a belt for doing so. She stated that when she got home her and Mr. Coker got into an argument over the situation. She also told me that Mr. Coker stated that his anger, “got the best of him”, and he “lost control”.

I asked Ms. [WITNESS #1] if I could talk to juvenile one and look at the injuries. Juvenile one had two fairly large, red, open skin marks on the middle of his back, red marks resembling a belt buckle on his right forearm, red marks on his right thigh, and red and purple marks on his left neck and shoulder. Picture of the injuries have been added to evidence, but do not show quite how bad the marks look in person.

Next I spoke with Mr. Coker who told me he had been working on a paper for school, while watching after the juveniles. He continued saying that they had been running back and forth “tattle tailing” on each other, and when juvenile one used the bathroom on himself, he was told he was going to be given a spanking. Mr. Coker said he used the belt to spank him with but stated juvenile one kept moving and jumping in anticipation.

He stated that he “knows he crossed a line”, but that is how he believes juvenile one received the marks on his back and thigh. Mr. Coker also told me that the combination of being interrupted multiple times while working on his paper, the juveniles telling on each other multiple times, and juvenile one using the bathroom on himself all added to his frustrations that may have led him to cross the line when spanking juvenile one.

Deputy Burch gave me the belt that he received from Ms. [WITNESS #1] who stated she had to dig it out of the trash after throwing it away. This is the belt that was used to spank juvenile one. The belt has been added to evidence.

Juvenile one stated Mr. Coker spanked him because he used the bathroom on himself and he was mean to the other juveniles. He stated Mr. Coker used a belt to spank him with and continued spanking him even after he fell to the floor.

Juveniles two an 11-year-old female, three a six-year-old female, and four a two-month-old female were all present in the house while this occurred. Juvenile four is Mr. Coker’s biological child.

Mr. Coker was changed with Cruelty to Children 1st degree, 3rd degree (3 counts), and Battery Family Violence.

Deputy Burch made a report to DFCS.
