On the 2nd of January, 2026 I Deputy Casey and Deputy Dillard were dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Nordick Rd in reference to a disturbance. Caller [VICTIM #1] advised her son Kenny Dunn was drunk, laying on the floor, screaming, and using profanity. She advised nothing physical has occurred between them at this time.
While enroute to the address provided above, Murray 911 advised Kenny was now trying to leave the residence in a blue car, then later advised Kenny was just sitting inside the vehicle. Murray 911 advised Kenny and [VICTIM #1] had began to yelling at one another again, and that it had now become physical. Murray 911 advised Kenny had shoved [VICTIM #1] and stated he was going to fight officers to bring them on, then shoved [VICTIM #1] once more.
Murray 911 advised Kenny and [VICTIM #1] were now separated again with [VICTIM #1] being inside the residence with the door locked while Kenny remained outside. Murray 911 then advised they had began yelling again with Kenny now beating on the door trying to break in.
Upon my arrival I found Kenny sitting in the front seat of a blue car. While speaking with him he advised he had been drinking and there had been a ruckus going on. Kenny advised he had not shoved his mother. At this time [VICTIM #1] had came outside to speak to me. I advised her to wait under the carport until I could come over and speak to her.
I asked Kenny if he had any weapons on him and he advised he did not. While speaking with Kenny I was able to smell the odor of alcohol on him. I advised Kenny to remain in the vehicle and to not go anywhere while I was speaking with [VICTIM #1].
While speaking with [VICTIM #1] she advised she had allowed Kenny to come stay with her because he did not have anywhere to go, but he could not drink any alcohol. She advised she had been questioning Kenny about his drinking and that was when the argument between them began. She advised he had been doing good and not drinking but recently got his disability money, and was using it to buy alcohol. When I asked [VICTIM #1] if Kenny had shoved her she stated Kenny had pushed her twice. While [VICTIM #1] was speaking to me she began to become emotional with tears forming in her eyes.
After speaking with [VICTIM #1] and having her go back inside the residence, myself and Dillard walked back over to the car Kenny had been sitting in. I advised him he was going to be coming with me tonight for simple battery. Kenny then exited his vehicle and I placed him under arrest and placed him in my patrol car to transport him to the Murray County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
