Officer’s Narrative:

On 12/22/2025 approximately 13:11 I, Cpl Vannoy, Deputy Dodd, Deputy Powers, and Deputy Pitts responded to B & T store due to a female causing a disturbance.

When I arrived I spoke with [VICTIM #1] inside the store. [VICTIM #1] stated that a female came into the store and made threats towards him. [VICTIM #1] then showed me a video of a female laying across what appeared to be a table inside the store. The female was then making statements that [VICTIM #1] had sign his death warrant, and was making statements I could not understand also at this time. In the video I was able to identify the female as Kristy Sluder also at this time. [VICTIM #1] also stated he did not want the female back inside the store.

I then went en route to [80 BLOCK] Tennga Gregory Rd to make contact with Kristy Sluder. I then located Kristy Sluder outside her residence at this time. When I got out of my vehicle Kristy was holding a lever action rifle in her hands. I then gave verbal commands for Kristy Sluder to drop the firearm. Kristy Sluder then went into the residence still holding the firearm. I then advised dispatch of what just had occurred at this time. At this time Deputy Powers and Deputy Pitts arrived on scene to assist.

I then attempted to get Kristy Sluder to open the front door which was locked to speak with me about what had occurred at the store. Kristy Sluder then yelled that she has a tpo against the Murray County Sheriff’s Office. I made multiple attempts to have Kristy Sluder walk outside, where she refused to do so. I then radio for SFC Watson to be en route to assist at this time.

Deputy Powers and Deputy Pitts then attempted to speak with Kristy Sluder to have her walk outside. During the conversation Kristy Sluder made a statement towards Deputy Powers stating she was on private property and she would kill her. At this time SFC Watson, Captain Thurman, Major Bell, DNR Thomas arrived on scene to assist.

Captain Thurman then attempted to speak with Kristy Sluder to come outside the residence. Kristy Sluder continued to state she has a tpo against the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, and stated the National Guard was on the way now. SFC Watson, Major Bell, and DNR Thomas attempted to speak with Kristy Sluder to open the door, where she continued to refuse to do.

Captain Thurman was then able to open the back door of the residence. Kristy Sluder continued to refuse a lawful order to exit the residence. At this time Major Bell asked for OC spray where DNR Thomas provided it at this time. Major Bell deployed a quick burst into the residence where Kristy Sluder then went further back into the residence. Major Bell then deployed another burst of OC spray in the area of Kristy Sluder, where she then went into another room.

DNR Thomas and Major Bell then collected their gas masks to make entry into the residence. When units made entry into the residence Kristy Sluder was located in a bedroom on the right hand side of the residence. Major Bell and DNR Thomas placed Kristy Sluder against the wall with her hands behind her back. Captain Thurman then placed hand cuffs on Kristy Sluder at this time. Units located the .22 lever action rifle in the living room as units were escorting Kristy Sluder outside of the residence.

Deputy Powers then conducted a pat down on Kristy Sluder prior to her being placed in the back seat of my patrol car. I then transported Kristy Sluder to the Murray County Jail without incident. I will be charging Kristy Sluder with obstruction, disorderly conduct, and terroristic threats and acts felony through Superior Court.
