On September 15, 2025, at 5:05 AM, Deputy Casey and I, Deputy Dillard, were dispatched to [1400 BLOCK] Norton Bridge Road in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Deputy Casey went to Tracy Stephens residence at [1400 BLOCK] Norton Bridge Rd, and I made contact with [VICTIM #1] at [1300 BLOCK] Norton Bridge Rd. I met with [VICTIM #1] outside in the driveway. She stated that Tracy had been drinking way too much, and she had been drinking some. She stated that “he beat the fu*k out of me”. I asked [VICTIM #1] if Tracy hit her with his fist or with his hands, and she stated that he hit her with a broom and a chair. [VICTIM #1] stated that she just wanted to go home.

I asked [VICTIM #1] if she needed EMS to come and check her out, and she stated that she was fine, that she just wanted to go home and have him leave. [VICTIM #1] also stated that Tracy had her phone and that when he leaves to leave the phone at the house. She described the phone as being white with gold on the case.

I asked [VICTIM #1] if there was anything particular that had happened that would have started an argument, and she stated that he had drunk too much and his mind goes. She stated that she had to fu*king run to a neighbor’s house to call 911. I then stated to [VICTIM #1] that I was going to take some pictures of her injuries. I took pictures of her face front and the left side, of her left arm and shoulder. I also took pictures of her legs due to her stating that he hit her everywhere. I then asked [VICTIM #1] if Tracy hit her in the head, and she stated that he did.

Deputy Casey arrived at the neighbor’s house after talking to Tracy. I stated to him that we were going to need Sergeant Hill and Corporal Harrison since Tracy can be combative. Sergeant Hill arrived on scene, and we walked over to the front porch of the residence, where Tracy was sitting. I asked Deputy Casey about what was said to him by Tracy about what had happened. Deputy Casey stated that Tracy told him it was a verbal argument. I asked Tracy to stand up and turn around, and place his hands behind his back. Tracy looked at me and asked me what for. I stated to him that I talked to his wife and asked how all the blood got on her. Tracy then asked why he was going to jail, and I stated that he beat the hell out of your wife with a broom and a chair.

Deputy Casey placed handcuffs on Tracy and then walked him out to the back of his car. Deputy Casey then searched him and found two cell phones. One of the cell phones matched the description of the phone that [VICTIM #1] stated was hers. I grabbed both cellphones from Deputy Casey. I then gave Deputy Casey the black cell phone and kept the phone that was white and gold.

I then drove back to the neighbor’s address, gave [VICTIM #1] her phone back, and gave her a ride back to her residence. Sergeant Hill stated to [VICTIM #1] that we can get EMS to check her out due to her ear bleeding. While we were waiting on EMS to arrive, I asked [VICTIM #1] to take me into the residence and show me what Tracy used to hit her with. She walked into the house and went to the back bedroom on the right. There was a gray plastic broom that was broken in half, a metal lawn chair, and a metal cooking pan lying on the floor. She stated that Tracy tried to hit her with a pan. [VICTIM #1] stated that she thought he was going to kill her.

Pictures of [VICTIM #1]’s face, left arm, and both legs are attached to this report. Pictures of the chair, broom, and pan are also attached.

Tracy was transported to the Murray County Detention Center and was turned over to jail staff. He will be charged with Aggravated Assault (FV) and Battery (FV).
