On June 30th, 2026, at approximately 0735Hrs, Deputy Pope and Deputy Scarboro were dispatched to Salem Road at Brown Bridge Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident that had initially occurred in the area of Salem Road and Smith Store Road.
Upon arrival, I made contact with Deputy Garrett and Deputy Woods regarding the incident. Deputy Garrett advised that he had obtained video footage from his patrol vehicle dash camera showing Ms. Yother intentionally driving into oncoming traffic and maneuvering around the complainant’s vehicle before striking the complainant’s vehicle while both vehicles were still in motion on Salem Road.
The complainant advised that her two juvenile children were inside her vehicle at the time of the collision.
Further investigation revealed that a road rage incident had occurred on Salem Road just prior to Smith Store Road. It was determined that Ms. Yother became upset after the complainant passed her vehicle while Ms. Yother was backing out of her driveway. Due to Ms. Yother’s actions, she intentionally drove into the lane of oncoming traffic and struck the complainant’s vehicle.
Based on the information obtained during the investigation, probable cause existed for Ms. Yother’s arrest. Ms. Yother was placed under arrest with her hands behind her back. Handcuffs were applied, double locked, and checked for proper fit without incident.
