[NARRATIVE #1 on June 03, 2025]

Responded to a pedestrian accident at listed address. Upon arriving I observed listed male lying in the roadway deceased.

Physical evidence on scene indicated that listed male was crossing on SR 36 not in a cross walk when he was struck by a pearl white vehicle that left the scene. Listed male was lying in the south bound lane of SR 36 with the head facing east bound and feet facing west bound. It appeared that the male was struck several times. Located by the center line on SR 36 was what apppeared to be 2 pieces from a pearl white side mirror cover from the suspect vehicle. A left black shoe was located in the south bound lane approximately 1 foot west of the center line. A right black shoe was located in the grass approximaely 10 feet west of the south bound lane. Physical evidence on scene was collected and removed by Sgt. Kitchens from the crime scene unit.

Newton County Coroner Griggs was on scene and removed deceased male.

Notification was made to next of kin.

[NARRATIVE #2 on June 03, 2025]

Responded to an accident with a pedestrian to the listed address. Upon arriving I observed a a B/M later identified [REDACTED BY AGENCY] laying in the roadway deceased. It appeared [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was crossing SR 36 not in a crosswalk when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that was south on SR 36 and not on scene [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was wearing a black shirt, black pants, black shoes and black bonnet.

Physical evidence on scene was what appeared to be parts from the drivers side mirror from a pearl white vehicle.

After further investigation and talking to witness [WITNESS #1] who stated that he saw [REDACTED BY AGENCY] walking on Woodfield Rd towards Hwy 36 before the time of the accident. I started to focus on northbound traffic. It was possible that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was crossing Hwy 36 westbound and was struck by a northbound vehicle knocking [REDACTED BY AGENCY] onto the southbound lane. This would explain the right shoe in the grass west of Sr 36.
