On 06/18, I Deputy Johnson responded to [80 BLOCK] Browning Dr in reference to trespassing.
Upon arriving on scene, Deputy Carney was engaging in conversation with the subject. I attempted to identify the subject by his license plate however it wasn’t registered to him. I began to ask the subject to identify himself by providing his drivers license. After successfully identifying the male, I proceeded to ask him what was going on. The subject began to speak in terms I could not understand about the federal gov, open cases and corruption.
I explained to the subject that he was unwanted on the premises and he needed to leave. The subject began to say the prime minister of Jamaica kicked him out of the home. Deputy Carney asked the subject if he was a sovereign citizen, he then reported he was infact a sovereign citizen. The subject began to get very loud and irate causing more of a disturbance and waking up the neighbors. After several warnings, I escorted the subject off of the property directing him out of the driveway and advised him if he returned he would be arrested.
Shortly after the subject returned back to the residence where he was stopped prior to entering the driveway. I walked up to the subject that was still occupying the vehicle. I gave him verbal commands to exit the vehicle and put the vehicle in park. The subject refused to get out of the vehicle. While still giving the subject commands I grabbed his arm and yanked him out of the vehicle.
I pinned the subject up against a patrol unit while trying to gain compliance I applied pressure to his wrist and took out my handcuffs. In the midst of trying to gain compliance, the subject started to squirm making it harder to apply the handcuffs on his wrist. Deputy Carney and Deputy Hamp then came to assist with successfully detaining the subject.
The subject was arrested placing his hands behind his back, placing the handcuffs on both wrists, conducting a finger check and locking the cuffs. He was placed in my patrol vehicle and taken to the LEC. Upon arrival, I advised dispatch and I placed my duty issued firearm in the front of my patrol unit. The subject was turned over to SGT Jordan.
