On 06/13/2026 I responded to a domestic call in the area of Island Shoals Road. When I arrived on scene, I made contact with the complainant. She stated that her daughter in law, the offender, was stopping her from getting her belongings out of her own camper. She then stated that the offender charged at her vehicle with a stick. She stated that she had attempted to record but she couldn’t do so as she was in the process of calling 911.
I then walked around the right side of the residence and discovered a female, the offender, sitting in a white lawn chair and observed a small alcoholic beverage sitting behind her to the left. She stated to me that I could not arrest her at her house. I began to make contact with her to gain her side of things. When Deputy Powell #9151 arrived, he walked up behind me as the contact Deputy. He shined his flashlight towards the female. She began to become irate stating the Deputy was looking at her some sort of way and got agitated by him due to the flashlight. She began telling him to chill out.
I then went ahead and attatched her license to the call. Her mother in law then came around the corner and then the offender began to yell “ayeeee, shut the f*ck up, get on out of here” towards her mother in law whom is the complainant. She jumped out of the chair in a provocative manner but began to back away due to Deputy Powell being in the way. She then turned around towards the wood line where she had ran from units multiple times on previous calls that occurred earlier in the week.
I asked her to sit back down but she kept going that way thus deputies grabbed her by the arms as she was already detained pending further investigations. At this point I could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the offender due to being in close proximity to her. She started to yell at the complainant/victim again telling the complainant to, “get the f*ck out of here”. I attempted to allow the offender to sit back down on her own accord but she would not do so.
Instead, the offender saw the complainant again and began to amp up saying to her, “walk off”, as she jumped and skipped towards the complainant in a fast pace with her fists clutched. She then begain screaming and yelling for the complainant again to “walk the f*ck off b*tch”. I then decided to detain the offender in cuffs. She then kept calling the complainant names and stated, “oh I’m about to flip the f*ck out”.
I then, having the woman in cuffs, began to walk her to my cruiser so I could continue my investigation. While holding her, she attempted to keep charging at the complainant. Once to my car She stated that she was not going to get in. I convinced her to at least sit down and I then started asking her about the incident I was called to the residence for. She stated that she never had a stick but her mother in law was the one with it and tried to hit her with it.
I then had her stand back up to adjust the handcuffs placed on her. She then proceeded to refuse to get into the cruiser thus I lifter her right leg while Deputy Powell pulled her into the car from the other side. She once again stated that deputies cannot arrest her at her home. I then closed the door and conutinued my investigation. I came to the conclusion that I would not be taking out charges for the earlier incident in which I was called out for but I would be taking out warrants for everything that had occurred since my arrival. By such time, I had charges for disorderly conduct and obstruction of law enforcement.
I then pulled the female back out of the car to do and intrusive search of her as I explained that she was under arrest and what her charges were. She then refused to get into the car. I then explained that I would rather her get inside the car peacefully rather than deputies having to use force. She then sat down but made a jerking motion like she would stand back up after Deputy Powell closed the opposite side door. She then stated, “I can’t f*cking stand him. I’m about to f*ck him up”.
I asked her, who? She focused her eyes on Deputy Powell as she watched him walked around the back of the cruiser and yelling at him “aye!”. I then added on the charge Terroristic threats. The female now being handcuffed behind her back with handcuffs that were checked for fit and double-locked was transported to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
I searched the vehicle before and after transport. I turned on my in-car camera to record her during the entirety of the transport. Once at the Jail, I secured my firearm and transferred her custody over to D.O Cody. I then went back in service.
