On 07/27/2026 at 0117 hours, I was patroling the area of Highway 81 South near Oak Hill Road. I pulled into the parking lot of 3250 Highway 81 South Covington Georgia 30016 (Newton County) in reference to a suspicious vehicle sitting on the side of the vacant building (previously Family Dollar). The vehicle was occupied by 2 individuals, 18 year old male and a 15 year old female who appeaered to be engaged in sexual activities.
Male suspect was later detained, interviewed and charged with the following charges: Child Molestation, Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes and Statuatory Rape. CID was notified and turned over to them.
Female Juvenile was charged with Unruley Juvenile with On-call Juvenile and released to her mother.
