On Tuesday, 07/28/2026, I, Deputy Scarboro, responded to a family fight in the area of Brown bridge road covington Georgia.

Upon arrival, other deputies and I made contact with the offender (Wesley Allen). The offender initially called 911 stating his wife was trying to kill him. He then became irate with 911 dispatchers. Mr. Wesley told dispatch that he had an AK-47 with 8,000 rounds for law enforcement and that he had a dog that would bite us if we came onto his property. He also made various other threatening statements to 911 dispatchers but would change his statements and state he was playing.

Mr. Wesley appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage when deputies arrived on scene. He also had various injuries, the most noticeable being a black eye that he could not explain. Mr. Wesley was initially held at gunpoint when first contact with him was made because he stated that he had an AK-47 with 8,000 rounds for law enforcement after the scene was assessed. Deputies detained Mr. Wesley for further investigation. Mr. Wesley was offered EMS because of the apparent injuries he had but declined.

After further investigation Mr. Wesley was placed under arrest for misuse of 911 and handcuffed behind the back, double locked, checked for fit, and searched incident to arrest. Mr. Wesley was transported to the Newton County Jail by Deputy Garrett and me. During transport, he made threats that he would harm my family and me and repeatedly called us racially slurred terms such as “N*gga” upon arrival at the Newton County Jail, Mr. Wesley complained of chest pains and was checked out by medical staff at the jail and turned away. He was then transported to Piedmont Newton Hospital, where he was turned over to hospital staff for discharge.

I obtained warrants for Mr. Wesley for misuse of 911.
