On 5/15/2026, at approximately 1347, I, Dep. Glenn responded to QuikTrip at 1240 Oconee Connector regarding a hit-and-run traffic crash. The complainant told me she was traveling eastbound on Daniels Bridge Rd, approaching the intersection of Oconee Connector, when a blue Kia sedan turned left in front of her vehicle.
This maneuver caused the complainant to strike the rear right side of the Kia. Afterwards, the driver of the Kia drove into the QuikTrip parking lot to a fuel station. The complainant pulled into the parking lot, then began walking up to the Kia to try to exchange information with the driver.
The driver of the Kia drove off as the complainant approached. The complainant could not provide a license plate for the Kia, but told me the driver turned northbound onto Oconee Connector after fleeing. The driver was described as a black woman with a bun on top of her head. There was noticeable damage to the complainant’s vehicle, and a piece of the suspect vehicle lodged into the area beside the complainant’s front right headlight.
I went into QuikTrip to watch camera footage of the incident. A license plate could not be seen from the footage because of the glare from the sun, but I was able to get a side view of the vehicle that showed its rims. I was also able to see the vehicle had a front decorative license plate affixed. I took a picture of the vehicle from the camera footage, then began searching Flock Safety for a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle’s description. Only 2 vehicles were found in Oconee County prior to the time the crash occurred.
One vehicle didn’t match the body style of the suspect vehicle. The other vehicle, license plate [REDACTED], was searched in Flock Safety for the previous 7 days in an attempt to view a side angle of its body. I was able to match the rims on Flock Safety to the rims on the camera footage from QuikTrip. This vehicle was also seen leaving 1791 Oconee Connector minutes after the crash occurred.
Pictures are attached to this report. I entered the vehicle’s license plate into GCIC/NCIC, and was able to find a phone number for the registered owner, Brittany Ivey. I called Ms. Ivey, and asked about the traffic crash. Over the phone, she told me that her vehicle was not damaged, and she did not strike another vehicle. I asked Ms. Ivey where she was, and she gave me an address on Resurgence Dr.
Ms. Ivey’s vehicle had a front decorative license plate. It also had damage on its rear right-side, consistent with the damage to the complainant’s vehicle. Ms. Ivey came out of the address, and I saw that she had a bun hairstyle on top of her head consistent with the description given of the suspect driver. After getting Ms. Ivey’s insurance information, she was placed under arrest for hit-and-run. She was searched incident to arrest, then secured into my vehicle. Ms. Ivey was taken to the jail, and turned over without incident.
